Two unforgettable weeks in the beautiful Seychelles

We spent two unforgettable weeks in the beautiful Seychelles, exploring the islands of Mahé and Praslin. Our holiday was filled with stunning beaches, peaceful nature, delicious food, and special moments that we’ll never forget. We booked our trip through Seyvillas, and everything went smoothly. Our first week was on Mahé, where we stayed at Bel Horizon. This place was amazing. We had our own little beach just a few steps from the house and a swimming pool with a view over the sea. It felt peaceful and private, and waking up to the sound of the waves was magical. From our accommodation, we visited Port Launay North Beach. This beach is located on the other side of the island and is nice for snorkeling. Here, we saw colorful fish, some live coral, and also a bit of dead coral, but overall it was a great experience. Another beach we really enjoyed was Carana Beach. It wasn’t crowded at all, which made it even more relaxing. The beach had the iconic Seychelles granite rocks, just like in the photos you often see of the islands. Also around the area of our accomodition, there were many small hidden beaches nearby, often empty but still beautiful. For dinner, we often went to the Beau Vallon area, which offered a nice variety of places to eat. There were nice restaurants where we could enjoy fresh Creole dishes, as well as several takeaways that were perfect for a relaxed meal at home. We especially liked trying the grilled fish and local coconut curries. One evening at our first accommodation, we enjoyed a barbecue prepared by the gardener of the accomodation. We sat outside and had a delicious meal with freshly grilled fish, meat fillets, and homemade salads. After this wonderful week on Mahé, we took the ferry to Praslin. The ferry ride was a bit rough however due to the waves and took about an hour. On Praslin, we stayed at Casa Tara Villas. This was another lovely place, close to the sea, with a nice swimming pool and a perfect location to explore the island. We rented a car again, which made it easy to visit different places. One of the highlights on Praslin was Anse Lazio, a stunning beach with soft white sand and clear blue water. We had to hike a little to get there, but it was totally worth it. Another great memory was our day trip to Curieuse Island. We took a small boat to get there, and the island was beautiful. There is a giant tortoise sanctuary, where we saw many huge tortoises walking around. It was a very special experience, something you don’t see every day! We also made a day trip to La Digue, another island close by. We rented bikes for the day and cycled around the island, visiting different beaches. The most beautiful ones were definitely Anse Source d'Argent and Anse Patates. With the granite rocks and turquoise water, it looked amazing.
