Description:
One of the most impressive hotels in the Seychelles is Raffles, located on Praslin. The resort offers extensive luxury in a first-class location, right on the beach at Anse Takamaka. Guests are truly spoilt, with several restaurants, a spa area, yoga space, and private swimming pools just some of the things on offer.
The different villas of the hotel are all equipped with the finest interiors, and their size and exclusivity just add to their charm. Each villa has a spacious balcony with sundeck, pool, and relaxation area. Additionally, there's a butler service available to all guests, as well as other luxuries such as limousine transfers and a CD/DVD library.
The four hotels of the resort offer different culinary delights and stand out thanks to their quality and variety. We recommend trying out each one during your stay, as they are all unique in their own way and offer something different. If guests would rather dine in their own villas, room service will happily serve a mixture of international and Creole dishes on their private veranda.
The large spa area is unique on Praslin, offering a variety of pampering treatments and massages in one of the treatment pavillions. After traveling (privately) to over 40 countries and at least three times as many hotels, we can and want to say: The Raffles tops everything so far! Location, rooms, food, offerings, surroundings, hotel complex, beach and additional features (such as your own turtles, etc.) are consistently fantastic. But what impressed us most was the phenomenal service: no sooner had a wish been thought through than it was fulfilled. Examples: - as soon as you arrived at the beach you were brought towels, water and - for the children - sand toys - when I asked at breakfast whether I could have a Macha Latte, Macha powder was organized especially for me (!) and the drink was included served with a big grin - on our departure day we were picked up very early before breakfast time - so the hotel brought us a full breakfast to our room at 5:45, ie fresh pastries, waffles, pastries, fruit, juices, coffee and tea , yoghurt... etc. Simply incredible (relaxing) NOTE THAT IS CARE TO US: we read about many 4-star reviews here that gave the hotel one star. the high prices for food and drinks. The food is just as expensive or marginally more expensive than it is in the Seychelles (e.g. curry for 320 SCR) - and in the hotel it is of outstanding quality. The Seychelles deserve the star deduction as a travel destination, but not the hotel. Anyone who leaves the hotel and travels around will quickly experience and be able to classify it. We had a great stay at Raffles. The food and the service were great (except at the pool restaurant one evening, where there was Tandori, the service was very bad. The food came like it was on an assembly line, barely finished before the next course arrived and the drinks were the other way around , nothing was refilled, even though we had a very expensive wine of 200 euros.). The price-performance ratio was not great. The food was excellent, as there were no buffets in the evening and you could choose from a wide range in the various restaurants, which we really liked. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired and was constantly replenished so that there was always something of everything. The quality of the food was excellent, it couldn't be better. Our villa was also very nicely decorated (even had its own pool) and we really enjoyed our privacy. Since the complex is very spacious, there were hardly any people on the beach and at the pool. There were always some loungers empty and they weren't reserved in the morning, like in some other hotels. The reception gave us very good support when we rented a car.
