Island Hopping in December

We decided to escape the cold season and booked an island-hopping trip to 3 islands in the Seychelles through SeyVillas. We opted for a total of 14 nights and could not have been happier with our choice. It was the perfect amount of time to explore the most beautiful sides of the Seychelles at a leisurely pace and truly unwind.

Mahé

From the moment we stepped off the plane on Mahé, everything was perfectly organised thanks to SeyVillas and Creole Travel Service, and there was always someone available to assist us. Our local representatives visited us at every hotel, recommended excursions and told us about the most beautiful parts of each island. The transfers between the islands were also seamless and incredibly easy.

MahéMahé We spent 5 wonderful first days of our holiday on Mahé, including an island tour organised by Creole, which showed us all sides of Mahé in a fantastic way – including the amazing experience of being able to stroke giant tortoises. We saw incredible sunsets at Beau Vallon Beach, where our apartment, Divers Lodge, was also located.

Divers Lodge is ideal for travellers who enjoy dining out in the evenings and are not particularly concerned about having a large breakfast. The location is excellent, and given the value for money, we were also satisfied with the accommodation and its facilities.

MahéMahé As well as Beau Vallon Beach, we made shorter trips to beaches in the surrounding area, all of which were well worth visiting. We were able to access every beach without any difficulty, as they are all public. At many of these beaches, you can simply wade into the shallow water from the shore and, within just a few metres, find lovely snorkelling spots and interesting photo opportunities.

La Digue

We spent 3 very relaxing days on La Digue and had the chance to enjoy some of the most beautiful beaches in the Seychelles. We chose our accommodation, Chez Marston, because of the restaurant recommendations we found on SeyVillas. We were more than satisfied: excellent food, good accommodation, a perfect location right in the centre of the island, short distances to everything and superb value for money.

The best thing about La Digue is how easily and quickly you can get around the entire island by bicycle. In next to no time, we were able to reach the east, north and south of the island, where we found peaceful, picture-perfect beaches in every direction.

Praslin

We saved the best for last: the island of Praslin and its wonderful hotel, New Emerald Cove. Thanks to its secluded location, it has an exceptionally peaceful, beautiful beach as well as some wonderful snorkelling spots. The hotel grounds are very well maintained, with plenty of space to enjoy some privacy, and the views of Praslin, Round Island and La Digue are second to none.

We were able to book some fantastic snorkelling excursions through the hotel, and Creole Travel Service once again presented us with some great options for further excursions on Praslin. However, it was the hotel beach that impressed us most, as it was spacious enough for us to relax completely without feeling disturbed by other guests.

Before our trip, we thoroughly researched all the reviews and recommendations for beaches, restaurants and accommodation on SeyVillas, then used them to plan and book our island-hopping itinerary. We could not have been happier with our dream holiday and would book our next trip to the Seychelles through SeyVillas again immediately and without hesitation.
