Best Time to Golf in the Seychelles
Thanks to the year-round warm tropical climate with temperatures between 26 and 31 °C, golfing in the Seychelles is possible in any season. However, some months are especially pleasant:- May to October: The dry season offers a comfortable playing climate with low humidity and stable conditions.
- March, April & November: These months are characterized by little wind and ideal course conditions – perfect for golfers who value calm play.
Additional Tips for Your Golf Holiday
To ensure your golf round in the Seychelles is not only a scenic highlight but also goes smoothly in terms of play, here are practical tips on equipment, preparation, and playing conditions in the tropical climate.- Clothing: Lightweight, breathable golf apparel is a must in the Seychelles. Ideal are functional polo shirts, shorts or skirts in light colors, as well as a cap or sun hat. Tank tops and swimwear are not allowed on the course.
- Playing with sea breeze & backlight: Especially in the afternoon, the sea breeze can be a factor. The light is also low. Bring light tinted sunglasses and a wind-resistant setup (e.g., low ball flight).
- Club rental: Both courses offer rental sets. However, regular players are better off bringing their own equipment.
- Expect ball loss: Tropical terrain, water hazards, and dense palm groves – if you're playing for score, bring enough balls or buy them on-site (sometimes limited availability).
- Reservations: Booking tee times in advance is recommended (required only at the Lemuria Golf Course).
