We booked a 16-day island-hopping trip (Praslin for 6 days, La Digue for 5 days and Mahé for 5 days) and were absolutely delighted with it.
I usually prefer a different style of travel, but looking back, I am very glad that I booked the trip through SeyVillas, as it meant we could enjoy our time without having to do much planning.
The transfers went very smoothly, which was particularly welcome after the long journey, and I was incredibly relieved not to have to arrange the ferries, taxis or buses myself. We thought all three islands were breathtakingly beautiful, but Praslin and La Digue particularly captured our hearts. The beaches are simply enchanting. There really is no such thing as an ‘ugly’ beach; even the smallest and most unassuming one has its own unique appeal and charm. Anse Patates, La Digue
One beach that definitely stands out as one of the most beautiful is Anse Georgette. The hiking trail to reach it is a little challenging, but afterwards you can relax on this gorgeous beach or cool off in the waves. Anse Georgette, Praslin
It is also well worth taking a few snorkelling excursions and visiting Vallée de Mai, the Botanical Gardens on Mahé or Curieuse, the island of giant tortoises, as we had some truly unforgettable experiences there. Botanical Garden
For me personally, Curieuse Marine National Park was the absolute highlight, as I love these animals. They can live there almost as they would in the wild and clearly enjoy all the attention they receive. Curieuse
The guides were all very helpful and approachable, and I was also very impressed by their close connection with nature. The hospitality at all the accommodation we had booked was excellent too, and we received a very warm welcome everywhere. Anyone who loves seafood and fruit will feel very much at home in the Seychelles, and the curries there are also highly recommended.Chez Jules, La Digue
The weather is usually pleasantly warm and ideal for spending a day at the beach. You can easily find a shady spot beneath the palm trees found on most beaches, or simply jump into the gorgeous water to cool off. Recreational snorkellers will also be in their element. You can see some of the magnificent fish at several beaches, but a boat trip to the Sister Islands or Félicité will leave you truly amazed. Felicité
Alongside Curieuse, this was another absolute highlight for me and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. All in all, I can wholeheartedly recommend a trip to the Seychelles. The islands are unbelievably beautiful, and it is definitely a journey you will never forget. After our trip, my girlfriend and I are now firm fans of the Seychelles. Much of that is thanks to SeyVillas and their excellent organisation, which took care of everything for us so that we could simply focus on the natural surroundings and enjoy a relaxing holiday.
