Super great hotel, green hotel complex, everything was perfect, super nice infinity pool, with sunset bar. Super good huge breakfast buffet, they were also very accommodating, as they noticed that we had a morning flight and therefore no breakfast would run out, they let us have breakfast on the day we arrived at 10am, which was very accommodating. We were happy to experience this, as the selection at the breakfast buffet was unique! Gigantic! Unfortunately, the sea at this time of year had a lot of seaweed, but for one day it wasn't a problem. Hotel staff were very friendly and very knowledgeable about everything, service was unique there!

We missed the usual warmth and cheerfulness that we had experienced in the previous 2 weeks on Praslin and La Digue, especially in the restaurant, the staff here seemed rather grumpy and stressed...a real shame. Perhaps the management should rework a few things... One positive thing was the possibility of using the sister hotel (great beach, as there was none in Fisherman's Cove...)

So far it is the only hotel I have come across that has sockets in the rooms that are so old that you cannot plug in Euro plugs. The hotel does not have its own beach but it has a lovely pool with a view of the sea. You can walk to the nearby Beau Vallon beach (in November there was quite a lot of seaweed). Unfortunately the gate to this side entrance closes at 7pm so you have to take a detour along the road if you come back later in the evening. I would recommend this hotel for a few days or as a starting point for excursions with a rental car, but not for a longer beach holiday.
