This is simply a must if you love nature. I was simply speechless. This island is fantastic. The service, the nature. Unfortunately, we only booked one night. Next time we'll definitely stay longer. Everything here was absolutely perfect.

Great accommodation. We had the pirate suite. Direct access to the water is not that great though. You have to look carefully how you get into the water. The room is a dream made of wood. The food and the service on site was great!

Transfer Details

Transfer from Praslin (meeting point: Berjaya Pizzeria parking, Anse Volbert) to the Chauve Souris Relais resort and back is included in the price, and goes twice per day, once in the morning, once in the afternoon. Please ask the hotel manager on-site for the schedule. Please be sure to inform us of your arrival time at the meeting point, without which we cannot guarantee the crossing to the hotel. In addition, one transfer per day from the resort to Praslin and back is included in the price. This can be arranged with the hotel manager on site. Additional transfers can be booked individually on-site for a fee.

Further information

Since 01.08.2023, the sustainability levy for tourism has come into force. Holidaymakers have to pay between 25-100 Seychelles Rupees per person/night on arrival, depending on the size of the accommodation booked. The whole estate of the idyllic Chauve Souris Relais resort is surrounded by greenery and tropical plants, making it a unique, island location, almost like Robinson Crusoe or Cast Away. Starting with the brightly painted facade with its typical Creole roof, which is made of lacquered wood and straw, moving on to the slightly elevated veranda, where you can comfortably relax, right up to the lush garden and ocean view that you can enjoy from each window of the house, this accommodation offers everything. Multiple small platforms that are joined to the main house lie here and there, providing plenty of space to relax on a sun-lounger with a good bick or to enjoy a nap in the sunshine. This estate is really something unique, and can only be reached by boat, ensuring a high level of privacy during your stay. Head down to the small beach and enjoy the turquoise waves as they roll onto shore; there aren’t many better ways of forgetting the stress of daily life than that.

The resort consists of a main building and a side building where all of the rooms are. Each room offers air-conditioning and ceiling fans, while the aims of the interior include bright, welcoming spaces and plenty of comfort, with each room containing a spacious kingsize bed and a cosy seating area, as well as a large wardrobe where you can store all of your belongings during your stay. Beside that, you can find a maritime or mellow-style bathroom with shower or, depending on the room, jacuzzi. The lovingly-fitted, wooden-furnished rooms offer the ideal basis for a relaxing night’s sleep every night of your stay. Meanwhile, a comforting mix of modernity and decorative Creole elements create a truly cosy atmosphere indoors, ensuring that you feel just as comfortable inside during your stay as outside. The Chauve Souris Relais is especially good for couples or small groups without children who want to enjoy that feeling of seclusion and independence during their Seychelles holiday.

As this quaint resort is located on a private island that can only be reached by boat, excursions to the nearby island of Praslin are an absolute must. Here, you can find white sandy beaches, beautiful bays, and truly unique vegetation. Although Praslin is relatively basic, there is good infrastructure for tourists there, including numerous shops and attractions. If you need help with planning or want to arrange an unforgettable boat trip, fishing tour, or snorkelling excursion, the owner of the resort will gladly help you out. You can even combine a trip across to Praslin with a round trip from Salazie to Pasquière and back, ensuring that you can enjoy some of the most beautiful views possible of the island, the ocean, and the neighbouring islands.
