It’s hard to find somewhere more enchanting than Wizard Island, which belongs to the Cosmoledo Eco Camp and was named after one of Captain Moresby’s ships. This unique bit of land is not far from Astove Island and can only be reached by boat.

Description:
The small Wizard Island lies around 1000 km south-west of Mahé, and belongs to the Alphonse group of islands. Surrounded by crystal-clear water and seemingly endless beaches, this small coral island is more untouched than almost anywhere else in the world. Here, visitors can get to know Creole nature at its finest and live out their desert island dream to the full. The island is inhabited by numerous exotic plants and animals that are just waiting to be discovered. The beach, which is just a short distance from the estate, is ideal for watersports and walks along the sand. The meals are served in a communal glamping-camp, which offers proximity to the sand and wonderful views of the Indian Ocean.
The eight individual “Eco Pods” consist of small houses that are nature and environmentally-friendly. These pods are located on a sand bank on this small island, and offer guests a comfortable, spacious accommodation for their stay. The interiors are home to a cosy mixture of urban style and laid-back Creole ambience. Each bungalow is home to a bedroom consisting of a double bed or twin beds, as well as a bathroom with WC and shower, the latter of which is located in an outdoor area protected from view of others. Here you can really relax and enjoy the peace and quiet around you!
The Cosmoledo Eco Camp Glamping Resort is not a luxury hotel, but emphasises environmental protection and the natural harmony between humans and nature. The staff of the hotel will gladly explain the work involved and show guests who are interested the various natural highlights of Wizard Island and the surrounding underwater world. Turtles are a real highlight here, as they lay their eggs on the island. Enjoy Wizard Island to the fullest with a stay full of utmost relaxation and fascinating discovery!

Arrival is via a flight from Mahé to Alphonse (60 minutes), and another flight from Alphonse to Astove (120 minutes), followed by a boat trip from Astove to Cosmoledo (60 minutes):

Full board includes three meals daily; breakfast, lunch and dinner, water, tea, and coffee (as well as soft drinks during excursions and activities).

There are no mobile networks on the island, however there is WiFi in communal areas and satellite services available (fees apply).
Please note: all guests require travel insurance that covers cancellation, healthcare, and repatriation in case of sickness.
Island Conservation Donation: €35/person per day; children and teenagers (0 – 17 years old) do not have to pay. The amount is mandatory and payable at time of booking.
7 Nights Fishing Packages includes:
- Six days fully guided fishing (2 Anglers per 1 guide and skiff) on Alphonse Island and St Francois Atoll
- Non-motorised and land based activities
- Soft drinks during activities
- Complimentary scheduled communal excursions
- Snorkeling equipment (loss of gear will be charged per item)
- Watersport equipment (stand up paddle boards and kayaks)
