Description:
Day 1: Eden Island - Ste. Anne Marine National Park, Beau Vallon or Thérèse Island (Mahé)
Embarkation at 04:00 pm. Welcome on board! After a briefing and settling into your cabin, you can sit back and relax while the sailing trip begins with a cruise from Mahé towards Beau Vallon, Ste. Anne Marine National Park or Thérèse Island.
Day 2 and Day 3: Desroches Island
Navigation towards Desroches (night sailing). The island, 16.2 km long and lined with coconut palms, is characterised by numerous hiking trails and with its 14 km-long, mostly deserted sandy beach. Numerous snorkelling spots also offer an extraordinary natural spectacle thanks to the crystal-clear water, where you can observe colourful schools of fish. Desroches is also an Eldorado for divers, because the island is located on an underwater atoll ring, which drops steeply into the sea and promises exciting diving excursions with gorges, tunnels and grottos.
Day 4 and Day 5: Poivre and Île du Sud
Relax during a four-hour sailing trip to Poivre Atoll, which passes through one of the richest marine areas in the world for fish, where tuna, bonito, arrowhead pike, swordfish and many other tropical species can be found. The atoll's two islands, Poivre and Île du Sud, are connected by a paved walkway at low tide and are home to a small village. The atoll's ring-shaped reef is also a true paradise for snorkeling, , and from December to February, there's a good chance you'll see sea turtles coming to the beach to lay their eggs.
Day 6 and Day 7: St. Joseph Atoll
The St. Joseph Atoll consists of a ring-shaped coral reef with a main island to the east that stretches over 2500 m, plus four other islands and a dozen smaller islets. Ride in a motorised dinghy through the beautiful lagoon with a white, sandy floor, and impressive rays swimming around - truly an insider tip for snorkelling! Afterwards the trip takes you to the middle of a mangrove of impressive beauty, where some bird colonies make their nests. There is also the possibility for various watersports.
Day 8 and Day 9: African Banks
Enjoy fantastic natural beauty during a six-hour sailing trip to the north of the Amirantes and, with a bit of luck, spot a white dolphin or two. There may also be the possibility to fish for bonitos and swordfish. Afterwards, you will reach a huge white sandbank with a powder-fine beach: African Banks. In this sand paradise, inhabited by thousands of birds during the nesting season, there are only a few single coconut trees. Devoid of people and offering immaculate, fantastic nature, this is the perfect place to explore the underwater world, beguiling with its splendor of colours! After that, you will sail to. Mahé overnight.
Day 10: Mahé (Beau Vallon / Eden Island)
Today you will anchor at a peaceful spot on the main beach of Mahé: Beau Vallon. Opt for one of the several watersports or join a shore excursion. In the late afternoon, you'll take a short sailing trip to Eden Island or Ste. Anne Marine National Park.
