New hotel (2023) beautifully decorated and full of flowers. The staff is helpful and friendly, the manager is French. There is a very large swimming pool. Parking is available. The food is very good. A road separates the hotel from the beach, but it is not the prettiest on the island. Good location for visiting the south of Mahé.

The hotel is located in Anse Royal, near Fairyland, and is separated from the beach by the main road. It's a modern hotel with unique architecture and a beautifully landscaped pool area in the courtyard, surrounded by lush greenery. However, the atmosphere isn't typical of the Seychelles. Breakfast was very good (but relatively hectic), with a wide selection and freshly prepared eggs. The rooms are stylish and modern. The staff was friendly and helpful. The tea and coffee service with cake/pastries in the afternoon was a nice touch. We didn't try dinner at the hotel restaurant, but we had two great dinners at Kafe Kreole, right across the beach. The nearby deli, Laïla Deli, is also worth mentioning. Overall, Laïla is a good choice for a short stay. It has a 4-star rating and is different from the 5-star hotels we have stayed in, but Laïla offers good value for money and a pleasant stay.
