We spent five days and nights at the Canopy. It's a fairly new and very modern four- or five-star resort. The beautiful, tasteful decor and truly lovely rooms with good air conditioning couldn't compensate for the lack of warmth and, above all, the rather poor location of the Canopy. The beach in February/March was the worst we've experienced on our trips to the Seychelles – but the surrounding area was also rather underwhelming. Breakfast was very good, the bread selection was particularly noteworthy, and dinner was also delicious. The à la carte restaurant, which requires reservations, is highly recommended. During our stay, it seemed that three-quarters of the guests at the Canopy were Russian-speaking. Whether you like it or not, it's something to keep in mind.
