A Dream Holiday!

First of all, we would like to thank SeyVillas for the excellent service they provided. Everything went according to plan, and even before our departure they were always quick to respond and ready to answer any questions we had.

We returned last Friday after ten days of pure relaxation on the wonderful island of La Digue, which, when seen from the boat, looks like a small emerald set in the turquoise sea.

Unfortunately, we were greeted by the classic tropical downpour, but after a few minutes it cleared to make way for the sunshine. As soon as you arrive on the island, you immediately feel a sense of peace thanks to the absence of traffic. Bicycles are everywhere, while you can count the number of motorised vehicles on one hand. It is a wonderful feeling.

A representative from the Creole agency accompanied us to our accommodation, Pension Fidele. The bungalow is surrounded by greenery in an incredibly peaceful setting, and we were very happy there throughout our stay, both with the location and the staff, who were always helpful and friendly without ever being intrusive. During our stay, we used the bicycles provided by the property to reach all the accessible beaches without needing local guides. We have to say that choosing the most beautiful one is extremely difficult: each has its own charm, and the surrounding nature, both above and below the water, is truly magnificent.

We also joined a boat excursion organised by the guest house, with some snorkelling off Félicité and Coco Island. We saw many different fish and swam with a small sea turtle. Reaching the beaches in the south of the island on foot along paths winding through the jungle was thrilling; it felt as though we had stepped outside time... absolutely beautiful!

To reach Anse Source d'Argent, we crossed L’Union Estate Park (entrance fee: 100 rupees), where you can see extensive vanilla plantations, countless palm trees and an enclosure housing dozens of giant tortoises. You may also have the pleasure of encountering them while exploring the island, spotting them roaming freely along the roads; we saw at least eight.

Anse Source d'Argent, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and the beaches further south appear in all their splendour amid enormous granite boulders, white sand, lush vegetation and a sea of many different hues. Spectacular! The tides do affect and transform the scenery, however. We visited twice at different tides, and the view was different each time.

Even on the only two days without sunshine, we still experienced the island’s beauty by cycling around and taking in the extraordinary nature surrounding us, including the Veuve Reserve, where you can see various species of birds as well as large fruit bats.

It was an unforgettable holiday and, despite the long journey to get there and, much to our regret, having to return home, it was absolutely worthwhile! Our heartfelt thanks to SeyVillas, who truly do an excellent job. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to the Seychelles, we will certainly place our trust in SeyVillas again. We highly recommend both the destination and SeyVillas for their professionalism.
