The three-hour tour in a transparent kayak takes you to one of the most photographed beaches in the world, Anse Source D'Argent. With your guide, you paddle along the picturesque beach with its unmistakable iconic rock formations and stop along the way at various spots where parts of the well-known films “Robinson Crusoe” and “Castaway” were filmed in the 1980s. Perfect for unique photo memories that you can capture during a 15-minute easy hike over rocks to a viewpoint. During the following 45-minute paddle tour, you will have the opportunity to marvel at the wonderful underwater world through the transparent kayak until you reach the hidden Anse Pierrot beach. There you can swim or snorkel in the crystal-clear water at your leisure and enjoy a refreshing fruit platter as well as a fresh coconut. Two more highlights await you there: Your guide will be happy to show you how to open a coconut and take you to a hidden cave. Fascinating insights into the colorful world below the water's surface with its exciting coral formations in the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean are revealed to you once again through the transparent kayak during the approximately one-hour return trip in the paddle boat. About the provider
La Digue Transparent Kayaks is a renowned provider of guided excursions on La Digue with many years of experience. Together with his team, owner Robert Agnes offers unique hiking and adventure tours on the fourth largest island in the Seychelles, where you can explore places that are otherwise inaccessible to tourists. As a Seychellois who grew up on La Digue, he knows the island like the back of his hand and can show you the beauty of the island with its wonderful flora and fauna in a very special way.

Start time: Varies daily depending on the tides and will be communicated at the briefing a few days before the tour by La Digue Transparent Kayaks.
The price includes a fruit platter and a fresh coconut. Not included is the entrance fee to the L'Union Estate Park (approx. SCR 150 per person).
The tour is conducted with double kayaks. As the price includes a place in a double kayak, you share the kayak with another person if you book individually.
Maximum weight per kayak for 1-2 people: 160 kg. If this total weight for 2 people is exceeded, an additional kayak must be hired (at no extra charge).
Since the tour is physically demanding, it is advisable to plan it for one of the first days of your stay on La Digue.
The tour is recommended for pregnant women up to a maximum of three months (beyond that at your own discretion). The operator reserves the right not to allow clients to participate in the tour due to lack of physical fitness.
La Digue Transparent Kayaks will contact you a few days before the tour to arrange an appointment for a short briefing at your accommodation.
Appropriate footwear (aqua shoes and sneakers) is required as the tour leads over rough terrain and partly through water. It is also recommended that you bring at least 2 liters of water per person, a long-sleeved shirt, a hat, swimwear including a towel and a waterproof case for your smartphone.
Please note that applying sunscreen just before or during the tour to protect the transparent kayaks is not permitted.
If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the tour will be canceled at least 1 day in advance. In this case, it is possible to book a private tour for 2-3 people for an additional charge of 45€/adult and 20€/child (6-12 years) (payable on site).
In case of bad weather or other unforeseeable events, La Digue Transparent Kayaks reserves the right to cancel the tour on the morning of the tour.
