The three-hour tour in a transparent kayak takes you to one of the most photographed beaches in the world, Anse Source D'Argent. With your guide, you paddle along the picturesque beach with its unmistakable iconic rock formations and stop along the way at various spots where parts of the well-known films “Robinson Crusoe” and “Castaway” were filmed in the 1980s. Perfect for unique photo memories that you can capture during a 15-minute easy hike over rocks to a viewpoint. During the following 45-minute paddle tour, you will have the opportunity to marvel at the wonderful underwater world through the transparent kayak until you reach the hidden Anse Pierrot beach. There you can swim or snorkel in the crystal-clear water at your leisure and enjoy a refreshing fruit platter as well as a fresh coconut. Two more highlights await you there: Your guide will be happy to show you how to open a coconut and take you to a hidden cave. Fascinating insights into the colorful world below the water's surface with its exciting coral formations in the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean are revealed to you once again through the transparent kayak during the approximately one-hour return trip in the paddle boat. About the provider
La Digue Transparent Kayaks is a renowned provider of guided excursions on La Digue with many years of experience. Together with his team, owner Robert Agnes offers unique hiking and adventure tours on the fourth largest island in the Seychelles, where you can explore places that are otherwise inaccessible to tourists. As a Seychellois who grew up on La Digue, he knows the island like the back of his hand and can show you the beauty of the island with its wonderful flora and fauna in a very special way.
Terms & conditions
1. Itinerary & Terms and Conditions
Start time: Varies daily depending on the tides and will be announced by La Digue Transparent Kayaks during the briefing a few days before the tour.
If the minimum number of participants is not reached: Cancellation by the provider no later than 1 day before the tour (private tour for 2–3 people available as an alternative for an additional fee of €45/adult and €20/child, payable on-site)
Bad weather or other unforeseen events: The provider may cancel the tour up until the morning of the tour
2. Price & Payment
Maximum weight per kayak for 1–2 people: 160 kg. If this limit is exceeded, an additional kayak will be provided at no extra charge.
3. Participants & Age
Children must be at least 6 years old to participate
Maximum age for participation in the tour: 65 years
Requirements for participation: Basic physical fitness
Pregnant women: Participation in the tour is recommended up to the third month (beyond that, at your own discretion)
Not suitable for people with limited mobility
Note: The provider reserves the right to exclude participants who are not physically fit.

Included: guided kayak tour in a two-person kayak (for single bookings, the kayak will be shared with another person), fruit platter, fresh coconut
Not included: Admission to L'Union Estate Park (approx. SCR 150 per person)
5. Clothing & Equipment
Required: Appropriate footwear (sneakers and water shoes), as the tour takes place over rough terrain and partly through water
Recommended: At least 2 liters of water per person, long-sleeved shirt, hat, swimwear including a towel, waterproof bag for your smartphone

Planning: Due to the physical exertion involved, this tour is recommended for the beginning of your stay
Briefing: La Digue Transparent Kayaks will contact you a few days before the tour for a brief briefing at your accommodation
Important Note: Applying sunscreen shortly before or during the tour is not permitted to protect the transparent kayaks
