Description:
The “Island Bungalow” is a charming self-catering guesthouse in the beautiful north of La Digue surrounded by idyllic scenery. The stunning Anse Sévère and its surroundings are calm and inviting, allowing guests to recharge their batteries in total relaxation. The homely atmosphere of the region provides an ideal basis for an unforgettable stay on this fantastic, peaceful island, and the accommodation serves as a great launchpad for anyone wanting to experience the ‘real’ La Digue, immersing themselves in the colourful environments and exploring its many pristine beaches.
The attractively-priced bungalows of the estate offer much to their guests, including a beautiful garden, their own terrace, a living/dining room, a kitchen (perfectly adequate for self-catering), an air-conditioned bedroom with linen closet, and a bathroom with shower. The slightly smaller villa is equally charming, despite not possessing a kitchen or living room. There is also a washing machine which can be used for a small fee, and the same applies for the internet. The living units are decorated with authentic flair in combination with the comfort you might expect from a tropical holiday-home, allowing guests to truly relax and enjoy their stay. The friendly owners live next door, and they always aim to ensure their guests have an unforgettable holiday on La Digue. They’ll happily prepare breakfast upon request, as well as a delicious Creole evening meal. This ensures maximum flexibility for guests, who can keep to themselves as much or as little as they wish. The garden, complete with a number of palm trees, offers a peaceful, attractive outdoor seating area, as well as a private, furnished veranda, ensuring guests can make the most of the idyllic surroundings of the bungalows.
La Digue is almost 6km long and about 3km wide, making it the fourth-largest of the Seychelles islands. It lies around 50km north of the main island, Mahé, and offers 17 beaches, which circle around the coast of the island. Many of these beaches are protected from the open ocean by a coral reef, making them great for snorkelling. This rings especially true for the stunning Anse Sévère, which is really a snorkelling paradise. The bungalows are located around 300m from this beautiful beach, although all of La Digue’s other beaches, including the world-famous Anse Source d’Argent, or the spectacular Grande Anse, can be reached on-foot or by bike. Anse Source d’Argent is particularly famous, as it has been used many times for shooting advertisements. Finally, there is a small shop around 200m from the bungalows, which offers basic groceries for your stay.
