Description:
The small island of Bird Island is only about a 30-minute flight north of Mahé, making it the northernmost island in the Seychelles. Surrounded by crystal-clear water and endless beaches, the small coral island is unsurpassed in its naturalness. While the Inner Islands of the Seychelles are granitic in origin, Bird Island belongs to the coral Outer Islands of the Seychelles. This is what makes it so different from the large islands in the centre of the archipelago.
The individual villas are nestled in the gardens of a former coconut plantation and today offer guests very comfortable and spacious accommodation. The traditional architecture preserves the informal atmosphere of the original island life. From May to October, millions of sooty tern colonies nest on one part of the island. With a year-round population of at least 20 different species, Bird Island is a true paradise for ornithologists. Another wonder of nature are the sea turtles, which still lay their eggs here undisturbed. A special inhabitant of Bird Island is Esmeralda. Not only is she the largest land turtle in the world, but according to myth she was born in 1771 and would therefore have a whopping 250 years under her belt. However, it is more likely that Esmeralda is "only" 90 years old.
The Bird Island Private Villas are not a luxury hotel, but are committed to particularly pronounced conservation measures and live the natural balance between man and nature to an extent that is unparalleled even in the Seychelles. The entire staff is happy to show and explain the natural secrets of Bird Island and the surrounding underwater world to interested guests. The price of accommodation is justified by the unique nature in which one is allowed to live here.
Due to its location on the edge of the "Seychelles Bank", Bird Island offers excellent opportunities for various water sports, such as snorkelling or kayaking. Fly fishing is also possible from the beach with your own equipment.

Everything perfect.. can't be better, please leave everything as it is, just a dream. Super clean. Delicious Creole dinner, you are responsible for everything else. If you need help or information there is always someone there, otherwise you can relax in and with the beautiful nature Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
Unfortunately, the sea on the west beach, the actual bathing beach, was so cloudy that we didn't want to go swimming because once we got to our knees in the sea we couldn't see our feet. The sea on the east beach, where you should be able to snorkel, was only clear for a while, then without many fish and full of dead corals, but there were even more seagrass meadows. So in short, this island offers peace, WiFi, lots of birds, some tortoises roaming freely, some turtles coming out of the turquoise shimmering, unfortunately cloudy sea, otherwise just peace and quiet and very beautiful white sandy beaches, it all looks very photogenic. It's actually way too expensive for what it offers. Translation (DE): GoogleTranslate
