Sit and enjoy the view of the beautiful green mountains of Mahé with a drink in hand on your private balcony. The excellent infrastructure means you have restaurants, shops, supermarkets and a pharmacy all within walking distance. Offering tranquility, close proximity to the beach and fantastic urban infrastructure, the Waterlily Guesthouse has everything you could wish for.
Furnished with style and attention to detail, modern comfort characterises the living space. White walls and well-matched furniture are complemented by subtle decor and splashes of colour. The living area is open-plan, with a well-equipped kitchen opening out into the comfortable sofa area. From here you can go directly to the balcony. Conjure up a delicious meal from fresh local ingredients and perhaps enjoy a tasty aperitif at the small kitchen counter. The trendy bedrooms are spacious and feature an en-suite bathroom with a shower.
Having the beautiful bay of Beau Vallon so close by is of course one of the bonuses of the Waterlily Guesthouse. The 4km long Dans Gallas Trail (approx. 3km away) could be another holiday highlight with wondrous views of nature up to the majestic mountain range. At the top, you will be rewarded with a sensational panoramic view. Of course, a trip to the lively capital Victoria should not be missed either. We really liked the Waterlily guesthouse. The rooms were really nice and everything was very modern. We were on the beach in 3 minutes. But there were a few shortcomings. It started with our little Nepalese who spoke very poor English. Communication was almost impossible. He was the only person we spoke to. But he tried very hard to make everything work for us. The operating instructions for all electronic devices were written in Chinese, for example the washing machine, refrigerator, etc. The room or apartment was not cleaned after three days as described. There were no towels or bed linen changed after three days. We asked for fresh towels ourselves and got them. There was little opportunity to cook in the kitchen. There was no sieve for draining pasta, no ladle and no coffee machine. The cooking equipment was very sparse, just a bowl for salad or pasta, etc. Also as described, there was no starter pack, there was just a bit of oil in the refrigerator and salt. No sugar, no spices. Nothing at all, we had to get everything ourselves. Luckily we had brought spices and coffee/coffee filters with us. Starter pack according to description: (Upon arrival you will receive a starter pack of bread, water, juice, milk, cooking oil, salt and sauces) Overall, it must be said that the accommodation is run by a Chinese company. However, the location of the accommodation is very good. You can get to the beach very quickly and there are many supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance. Apartment modernly equipped, but a little uncomfortable. The electronics, especially the electronic toilet, took a little getting used to. Good location, directly behind the Beryaya Hotel, access to the beach through the Beryaya Hotel. Under Chinese management, communication with the operators very difficult as the employees speak little or no English. Cleaning every 3 days, but you can get fresh towels and beach towels at any time if you want. We had the upper apartment in the rear building, so it was nice and quiet.
