The Coral Strand Hotel is situated in prime location, right on the magnificent Beau Vallon beach, which ranks among the world's most famous beaches. It is also one of the widest beaches in the Seychelles, and offers a multitude of watersport opportunities. Here, visitors can surf and water-ski like nowhere else in the Seychelles. This has led to a small, bustling town growing around the beach. Here, there are several bars and restaurants, some of which are excellent, as well as shops for your daily needs. For those on Mahé without a car, Beau Vallon makes a great place to stay, as everything you need is within walking distance. In spite of this, however, the beach manages to avoid being over-crowded, even during high season.

Beau Vallon offers shallow water, a gently-sloping beach, and fine sand, as well as natural vegetation which provides welcome shade. On clear days, the view from the beach stretches across to Silhouette Island, the Seychelles third largest island. And, in the evenings, you can see some truly spectacular sunsets here, which often bathe the water in a deep reddish glow, making for a truly unforgettable sight.

The hotel was one of the first to open its doors in the Seychelles, in the 1980s. Before its renovation in 2012, the hotel was sorely neglected by its old management, leading to disrepair and a falling reputation. However, the extensive renovation and modernisation of the hotel brought back the glamour, turning it into a quality three-star hotel once again, competitive in the Seychelles market.
