Seychelles: 12 Days in Paradise
Planning, service and organisation
We have always organised our holidays ourselves, using various websites to book hotels and transfers. During our research, we came across the SeyVillas website. Although we were a little hesitant at first, the many reviews and travellers’ journals soon gave us confidence.
SeyVillas turned out to be a wonderful surprise: all the documentation, information and organisation on the ground were impeccable. At every transfer, there was always a representative waiting to welcome us and provide all the information we needed. Creole, the local tourism company used by SeyVillas, is very reliable and its staff are knowledgeable.
Thanks to SeyVillas, we enjoyed a wonderful stay in the Seychelles.
First island, La Digue
A dream! After months of hard work, we now find ourselves in this earthly paradise.
All around us is a magnificent island, with huge granite boulders in the background, white sand, crystal-clear water and beautiful palm trees.
We barely have time to put on our swimming costumes before our excitement gets the better of us and we dive into this wonderful sea. After a quick swim, the sun begins to set, creating beautiful patterns of light and treating us to a magnificent sunset that feels like a welcome greeting. Fantastic!

Once we have recovered from our excitement, we return to our room and explore our hotel, Le Domaine de L'Orangeraie. The villa where we are staying has a large patio where we can relax, perfect after a day of such strenuous beach activity. The room is very charming, furnished in a modern style and equipped with every comfort: a large bed, walk-in wardrobe, small sitting area, bathroom with shower and air conditioning.

The property is very well organised, with the restaurants and bars located close to the pool areas and beaches so guests can make the most of the views and sea breeze. The pool and beach are well equipped, and the sun loungers and parasols are well maintained and comfortable.
We eat exceptionally well throughout our stay, enjoying a wide variety of dishes and flavours at every meal from a beautifully presented buffet.
La Digue is magnificent, a small, semi-wild island best explored and enjoyed to the full by bicycle.

We cycle along the entire coast from north to south. Every stop is a revelation, with dreamlike beaches, giant tortoises and breathtaking views. The huge granite boulders that characterise the Seychelles are truly striking and frame the beautiful white-sand beaches. The lack of vehicles and the tranquillity make La Digue an exceptionally pleasant island, an ideal place to relax and enjoy the beauty that only nature can provide.

Second island, Praslin
After 5 days on La Digue, it is time to move on to Praslin, where we stay at a wonderful resort, the Constance Lémuria Resort. As soon as we arrive, we realise what an excellent choice we have made: a dreamlike welcome and an incomparable setting define this beautiful resort.
Set within a magnificent golf course, the resort offers direct access to Anse Kerlan. Anse Kerlan is a well-equipped beach with sun loungers, parasols, showers, a bar and snorkelling equipment, and best of all, it is exclusively for guests. Just a few minutes away on foot or using the hotel shuttle service is Anse Georgette, a beautiful, uncrowded beach surrounded by tall palm trees, where white sand meets the deep blue of the Indian Ocean. Wonderful!

Constance Lémuria really has a great deal to offer, from the excellent room to the restaurants and buffet. Our room, on the first floor of a small villa, is spacious and beautifully maintained. Every area provides complete comfort: a large bathroom with a bath, shower and separate toilet, a sitting area and a beautiful terrace overlooking the beach. In short, it is a little palace.
The staff are extremely helpful and courteous. Every request is always handled in the best possible way. The warm welcome and smiling faces make our stay at the resort very pleasant, while the tidiness and cleanliness of the property fully meet all our expectations. We are so comfortable here that our only venture beyond the resort is for a deep-sea fishing trip, which unfortunately turns into a complete disaster because of the rough sea. What a shame.

Every day, we make use of all the resort’s facilities, including the spa and fitness centre, golf course and swimming pools, while thoroughly enjoying the beautiful beach.

In the early evening, when the sea is calmer, we set off on long snorkelling excursions, exploring the seabed in search of fish and other marine life. On 2 occasions, we have the pleasure of swimming with beautiful sea turtles. A dream.

Our 12 days have flown by, and it is now time to pack our suitcases, return home and start thinking about the next dream destination to visit.

Greetings from the Seychelles, Linda and Stefan
