Dreamy Seychelles: A Journey Through Paradise

The Seychelles, a true paradise of turquoise waters, powder-white beaches and lush tropical vegetation, were undoubtedly among the most unforgettable travel experiences of our lives. Our journey took us to the most fascinating places on the islands of Mahé, Praslin and La Digue – each with its own unique beauty.

On Mahé, we stayed in a beautiful self-catering house (Bel Horizon), which we booked through SeyVillas. It had everything we could wish for: as well as a pool, sun deck and garden, the house had its own small cove with typical Seychellois rocks and beautiful views from the adjoining balconies. The shopping facilities in Beau Vallon and the two small nearby shops, a 7-minute walk away, made self-catering easy and allowed us to enjoy a relaxed holiday entirely at our own pace.

Our first stop was the southern part of Mahé, where we discovered the jewels of the coastline: the breathtaking beaches of Petite Anse, Anse Takamaka and Anse Intendance.

The pristine sandy beaches and crystal-clear water invited us to spend hours relaxing and snorkelling. The Takamaka Rum Distillery gave us a fascinating insight into the art of rum-making, while Domaine de Val de Pres enchanted us with its natural splendour.

We continued exploring in the north of Mahé. Grand Anse impressed us with its beauty, while the Mission Lodge Lookout offered breathtaking views. Sauzier Waterfall was an impressive sight, and the guided tour of the Tea & Coffee Company gave us a deeper understanding of the island’s history.

An exciting 3 km hike took us to the secluded Anse Major, rewarding us with its tranquillity and natural splendour. Another special highlight was our visit to the Kreol Fleurage Perfumery, where we immersed ourselves in the art of perfume-making and experienced the island’s enticing scents.

A short trip to Praslin also promised magical moments. The 1-hour ferry crossing and our accommodation at Sea View Lodge were booked through SeyVillas, and everything went smoothly. The beaches of Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette allowed us to immerse ourselves in the postcard-perfect beauty of the Seychelles. The exclusive Anse Georgette was accessible by prior arrangement with the Lemuria Resort, and the sight of its golden sand and turquoise water was simply unforgettable.

La Digue welcomed us with its authentic atmosphere. We reached the island by ferry in 15 minutes and explored its beautiful scenery by bicycle. A visit to L'Union Estate led us to the legendary Anse Source d'Argent, a beach that is surely among the most beautiful in the world. On La Digue, we encountered giant tortoises roaming freely, transporting us back to a bygone era.

Thanks to SeyVillas’ organisation, our entire journey was a seamless experience. From the accommodation and hire cars to the ferry crossings and airport transfers, they ensured that every aspect of our trip was perfectly coordinated. The warmth and professionalism of the SeyVillas team helped make this journey an unforgettable adventure.

We returned from the Seychelles with many unforgettable memories. The beauty of these islands, the hospitality of the people and SeyVillas’ careful planning made this a true dream holiday that we will carry in our hearts forever.
