Seychelles Catamaran Trip – 8 Days of Dreamlike Sailing

Our week-long catamaran trip around the Seychelles – more precisely, the inner islands – was a real highlight, allowing us to experience the breathtaking beauty of this paradise to the full. Aboard the comfortable Lagoon 46 VPM Cocktail Créole , which left nothing to be desired in terms of comfort or facilities, we explored the Seychelles’ unspoilt islands. The trip offered the perfect combination of relaxation, adventure and nature, and thanks to our experienced skipper and the talented chef on board, everything was taken care of. We set sail from Mahé and made our way to the neighbouring islands. Every day brought new discoveries – whether snorkelling in crystal-clear waters, cycling along La Digue’s idyllic paths or relaxing on secluded beaches.

On Praslin, we visited Fond Ferdinand, a nature reserve that rewarded us with spectacular views across the island. The hike took us through lush tropical forests and offered a unique insight into the flora and fauna of the Seychelles. Anse Lazio is definitely one of our favourite beaches on Praslin.

Our journey continued to Curieuse, La Digue and Félicité, where we immersed ourselves in a different world each day. La Digue, with its peaceful, car-free roads and breathtaking beaches such as Petite Anse and Anse Cocos, was particularly enchanting. Fine sand, turquoise waters and almost deserted beaches – paradise felt close enough to touch. Here, we could completely surrender to the island’s peace and beauty, savouring every moment to the full.

Life on board also had a charm all of its own. Each morning, we woke to views of the endless sea, while the catamaran’s gentle rocking and the sound of the waves immediately put us at ease. The day began with a delicious breakfast, while at lunchtime and in the evening we were treated to wonderful, freshly prepared dishes, lovingly made by the chef on board – fresh fish, succulent meat and local specialities that perfectly complemented the tropical surroundings.

Snorkelling was undoubtedly another highlight of the trip. The underwater world around the Seychelles was breathtaking, with crystal-clear water and a vast array of fish. Our encounter with majestic eagle rays gliding gracefully through the water was particularly impressive. Huge shoals of fish, shimmering in the sunlight and moving through the water in perfect unison, were also a fascinating sight.

Bird Island, one of our final stops, was a true birdwatcher’s paradise. Birds were everywhere around us, settling among the mangroves and along the beaches.

Overall, our week on the catamaran was the ideal blend of adventure, nature and relaxation. The Seychelles are a true paradise, and we were able to enjoy this unique island world to the full – with the freedom of sailing and the comfort of life on board. Every island, every bay and every moment at sea left a lasting impression. It was the perfect trip, leaving us eager for more and with memories that will remain with us for many years to come. From our initial enquiry to setting sail in the Seychelles, everything was exceptionally well organised, allowing us to enjoy a relaxed holiday from beginning to end.
