The hotel's location is also perfect. We had a lovely, large room and the service was simply fantastic. There was always fresh water and fresh towels, which was more than thoughtful. The breakfast selection was huge, and the restaurants had a great and delicious menu. There were plenty of sun loungers on the beach, and the service was friendly.

The shower had mold on some sides. The air in the room was also constantly humid, which suggests a malfunctioning air conditioning system. At the pool, most of the loungers and umbrellas were broken. The largely Russian guests also had different expectations of what to expect in a 5-star hotel.

We received a warm welcome, but check-in at this hotel took by far the longest and was a bit chaotic due to the rooms being swapped around. This was a real disappointment after the long journey by ferry and bus. Throughout our stay, we also had the feeling that some of the receptionists were somewhat listless and irritated when answering questions. We had booked two triple rooms at this hotel. Unfortunately, the third bed in our room was very small, which was really a bit small for people taller than 150 cm. In general, the rooms were too small for three people. We wished that it hadn't been possible to book a triple room for adults. In our opinion, the price was unreasonable for the service received and somewhat disappointing. The cleanliness of the room was also not entirely satisfactory. Additionally, only two towels were changed at a time, so you had to ask either at reception or for evening room service. Even though you were always given an extra towel upon request, this was a bit annoying. The room terraces, which are just a few meters from the pool, are a positive. The pool was large and beautifully landscaped. We spent a lot of time here, too, and always managed to get a lounger. The service at the pool was solid. Dinner was a large buffet, also with alternating theme nights. The service staff in the restaurant was always very attentive and friendly. A fellow traveler had a birthday during our stay at the Savoy. We were surprised with several birthday cakes and a birthday song from the live band. We were very happy about that! The breakfast was also very varied and delicious. A positive aspect of the hotel's location is the truly beautiful view of the mountains, as well as its direct location on the lovely beach and promenade. Overall, the location of the hotel was very good, but unfortunately the overall picture was not appropriate for the price, so we would choose a different hotel if we were to stay on Mahé again.
