Description:
The charming, family-run La Rousette Hotel is located amidst a lush green garden, and is located just 10 minutes away from the Seychelles International Airport on the east coast of Mahé. Thanks to this attractive location, within easy reach of everything, this is the ideal starting point for an island-hopping holiday. In particular, anyone looking for a relaxing holiday will find themselves right at home in the calm, pleasant atmosphere of this hotel, including swimming pool and bar. All of the rooms also offer free WiFi, which is also available in the public areas of the hotel.
The hotel welcomes families, couples, and business clients with the same enthusiasm, and offers eleven bungalow-style standard and superior rooms, each of which contains air-conditioning, satellite TV, kingsize bed, wardrobe, writing desk, bathroom, and balcony, creating a really friendly atmosphere throughout the hotel. The superior rooms are slightly larger than the standard rooms, and also offer a living room suite and an additional bed, so there is space for up to four people.
Travellers-in-transit and holidaymakers who have a late flight will find that this is the ideal place for a short stay, where they can acclimatise to their new surroundings and spend some time relaxing, eating lunch, or using the pool. A separate shower can be used afterwards to ensure that you feel refreshed for your onward journey. We find this to be a truly excellent additional service!
The nearby beach of Anse aux Pins is only partially suitable for swimming and snorkelling. During the south-east trade winds, between May and September, swimming and snorkelling are sometimes not possible due to wind, waves, and seaweed. That said, you can easily reach any number of beautiful beaches from the hotel using a rental car or the public bus service. Indeed, Mahé is best discovered by car, allowing you to stop here and there, discovering hidden spots and enjoying the island. In fact, from the coastal roads, many of which run alongside the beach, it is easy to get a really good feel of the country, and discover just what makes the unique natural-paradise of the Seychelles so special.
