Our apartment was huge – practically a fully equipped apartment with an open-plan living room and kitchen, a bathroom, and a bedroom with a walk-in closet. The apartments are cleaned daily and were spotless. The location is a bit off the main road, which makes it extremely quiet. The owner, who is also the head chef of the attached restaurant, is very friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed an excellent seven-course meal on New Year's Eve. The service in the restaurant is very attentive and polite. However, Seaboards Apartments isn't exactly known for its breakfast. While they offer four breakfast options, these all include a fixed combination of items, and any additional requests incur extra charges. We had expected something different. Furthermore, a completely different team is present at breakfast than at dinner – we had the impression that they weren't trained service staff, as they often acted a bit awkwardly and inefficiently. Nevertheless, everyone was very friendly. The "local beach" is lovely and can be reached on foot in about three minutes.
Translation (DE): GoogleTranslateClean and well-maintained. Spacious. The staff is always friendly and helpful. A rental car is highly recommended. Food: Try the takeaways. They're cheaper than the restaurants but just as delicious!
Translation (DE): GoogleTranslateThe Seaboard Hotel at Anse La Bouche was very quiet, about 300 meters from the beach, and had a restaurant. Breakfast was good. We only ate at the restaurant once, as there were few guests and the menu was extensive. This makes you wonder if the quality is good, considering the high prices charged in all restaurants in the Seychelles. We had salad, which was good. There's a takeaway shop on the beach ("The Lunch Box"). The food there was good and plentiful. There are small supermarkets nearby for self-catering. Without a car, it's a bit remote from the other beautiful beaches. The hourly bus service (buses 6 and 11) is quite an experiment and an adventure. You just wait for the buses like the locals. On Mahé, there are almost always traffic jams on the roads in Victoria and on the east coast all the way to Anse Royal, whether you're on a bus or in a rental car. The mattresses were excellent. We had a large apartment with separate sleeping areas and a large bed. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The cleaning is thorough. On the last day, we were able to use the pool and a shower area free of charge, as our flight wasn't until 11 pm. We also bought a pizza nearby that day for over €10 with our remaining money.
