Honeymoon in the Seychelles

We spent our honeymoon in the Seychelles and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. We arrived by plane on Mahé and travelled straight on to Praslin by ferry. There, we stayed at the Berjaya Praslin Resort . On our first day, we explored the beach, which was only a 5-minute walk away. On the second day, we took a trip to Curieuse Island and admired the wonderful tortoises. Our guide told us a lot about the local wildlife. Afterwards, we went snorkelling at St Pierre among lots of amazing fish. A visit to the Vallée de Mai and its coco de mer palms was a must. A drive along the south coast is also highly recommended.

On our last day on Praslin, we visited Anse Lazio – the most beautiful beach of the three islands in our opinion. Turquoise water, fantastic rock formations and superb snorkelling. There are also plenty of shady spots – an absolute dream! We also made a brief stop at Anse Georgette, where we spotted a fruit bat. Vallée de MaiVallée de Mai Our second island was La Digue – we immediately loved its unique charm. Everything is very relaxed, and you can get anywhere very quickly by bicycle – a true holiday paradise. We cycled along the east coast and enjoyed the views of the different beaches. Of course, we also visited Anse Source d'Argent, which we were able to admire from the water during a kayak tour. We would definitely recommend it! We also learnt how to open coconuts. Bikini Bottom at Anse Severe, with its two resident tortoises, was also lovely and a great place to watch the sunset.

We also cycled to Grand Anse and hiked as far as Anse Caïman. The natural pool at Anse Cocos was particularly good for swimming, and we could even watch the fish without a snorkel. The hike itself was also lovely, and we saw lots of cinnamon plants. If you crush the fallen leaves, they release that characteristic cinnamon scent. We stayed at Bord Mer Luxury Apartments. We liked it very much; it was extremely cosy, and we had a kitchen for self-catering.

Anse Source d'Argent, La DigueAnse Source d'Argent, La Digue It was difficult to say goodbye to La Digue, but it was time to continue to Mahé. There, we stayed surrounded by greenery at The Seaboards Apartments. Our room was huge! We first explored Victoria and ended the day at Beau Vallon.

On the morning of our second day, we hiked the Copolia Lodge Trail . It was very strenuous, but the view made it all worthwhile. Afterwards, we went snorkelling at Port Launay North Beach. On our final day, we enjoyed the underwater world at Petite Anse – the best snorkelling spot. We even saw rays. Copolia TrailCopolia Trail The days flew by, and we had a wonderful honeymoon. The beautiful beaches with their turquoise water and magnificent granite rocks were an absolute dream!

We are very glad that we booked our trip through SeyVillas. We were very well looked after during our stay and did not have to worry about how to get from place to place. We were met at the ferry terminals and taken directly to our accommodation. Whenever we had any problems, the Creole Services team responded incredibly quickly via WhatsApp. This meant that we could simply relax and enjoy our holiday.
