A Boost of Vitamin Sea in the Seychelles Sunshine

The trip gets off to a spectacular start as our daytime flight approaches Mahé airport.
As we come in to land, we have time to admire the islands and the clear waters we are about to discover. The moment we step out onto the tarmac, we are immersed in the tropical atmosphere, embraced by the warm, humid air of this island paradise.

But we continue straight on to catch our connection to Praslin, where we leave our luggage at the Berjaya Praslin Resort, booked through SeyVillas.
The sense of wonder continues as we discover Anse Volbert (Cote d'Or) beach, just a stone’s throw away.

From this beach, we arrange our various excursions to Félicité and Cocos islands, followed by Curieuse and Saint Pierre (Curieuse Marine National Park).
It is time to explore and encounter the rich marine life while snorkelling, before meeting the stars on land: Curieuse’s giant tortoises.

We also add a visit to the Vallée de Mai to complete our itinerary and experience the jungle up close.
It is such a pleasure to wander through it!

We take a day trip to La Digue and cycle around the island. There is no better way to admire the scenery and soak up the atmosphere of this utterly charming island.

One final highlight before leaving Praslin: discovering Anse Lazio. It is a sublime beach where you can relax in the shade of the palm trees, swim and admire the fish with your snorkelling gear.

Right, off we go to Mahé, where we choose an aparthotel near Beau Vallon.
The beach is enormous, and a stroll along the seafront is a great way to find the bars and restaurants, or sample freshly grilled food straight from the barbecue stalls. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

The most active part of our stay is the hike to Anse Major , followed by snorkelling as soon as we arrive. The magnificent walk offers yet more beautiful views, culminating in the moment we reach the beach.

Afterwards, it is time to relax and marvel once again during an excursion to Round Island and Moyenne Island, within Sainte Anne Marine National Park.
The islands’ wild character shines through, and our guided tour allows us to discover secluded spots of unique beauty.

Continuing our escape, we set off on a snorkelling excursion to Cap Ternay . We delight in everything surrounding us beneath the surface, in water so clear and pleasantly warm that we are surprised never to feel cold.

The Seychelles are all about these little moments of discovery and wonder, as well as immersing yourself in a relaxed, peaceful atmosphere thanks to the easy-going local people.
Sometimes we are left breathless, sometimes wide-eyed with amazement, and occasionally both at once…
We unwind and stop thinking about everything else.
We enjoy our fill of grilled food and cocktails.
We fill our cameras and our memories before the inevitable journey home.
Sometimes time seems to stand still as we gaze at a beach and its pristine waters, but ultimately it passes far too quickly, because we could never tire of it!
