Dream trip for our 5th wedding anniversary
We are very grateful for the trip put together by SeyVillas. We discovered the travel company online. Everything went smoothly, from the booking and itinerary to the transfers and choice of hotels. We had a basic idea, which Ms Kipker of SeyVillas developed through her kind and experienced advice into a dream trip planned down to the very last detail, for which we were extremely grateful.
The flight times were chosen with care and took us via Dubai, with a short stopover, to the main island of Mahé. Once there, a small plane had been arranged to take us to Praslin for the first stage of our dream holiday.
I would recommend this to anyone wishing to avoid a long and rough boat journey. A tip: as a general rule, everyone should carry motion sickness tablets on the Indian Ocean, even for shorter boat trips. We were overwhelmed by the beauty of the hotel Constance Lémuria Seychelles, while the outstanding service was an absolute highlight of our holiday. The staff quite literally anticipated our every wish. We have already travelled to many parts of the world, and I must say that the service definitely ranks among the very best anywhere.
The hotel itself was wonderful, with a beautifully maintained golf course, and the adjoining beach with its rocks was equally impressive. It is ideal for swimming. I would also highly recommend a local excursion to the nearby beaches and coves, as well as to the tortoise island, where giant tortoises up to 120 years old can be seen.
It was an unforgettable experience, and at Anse Lazio we saw what was probably the most beautiful seawater in the world. It was so clear and so intensely coloured. Those with particularly discerning tastes who appreciate an excellent evening meal can look forward to dining at DIVA, which offers a wine selection that is surely second to none. After four nights, our journey continued to La Digue. We had chosen Le Domaine de L'Orangeraie, as the world’s most beautiful beach is only around 10–15 minutes away by bicycle. Anse Source d'Argent has repeatedly been voted the most beautiful beach in the world.
Once you have been there, you understand why. Its beauty cannot be captured in words or pictures. We spent our fifth wedding anniversary there as part of our anniversary trip. After another four nights, we continued to Silhouette, a peaceful and wonderfully unspoilt island with miles of white sandy beaches and turquoise sea. We were fortunate that none of the islands was overcrowded, so we were often able to enjoy time alone together. Our particular highlight here was the far end of the beach, where a small rocky landscape invites you to lose track of time amid the tranquillity of nature. We spent our final day enjoying an extended couples’ massage. Once again, I must say that it was exceptional.
We spent the final hours before our return flight back on Mahé, where we treated ourselves to dinner at the marina for a lovely end to the day. This will certainly not be our last visit to the Seychelles. We would like to take this opportunity to thank SeyVillas for their excellent advice and for arranging the entire trip so smoothly. We can wholeheartedly recommend both SeyVillas and the Seychelles as a holiday destination.
