Description:

The beautiful Cote d'Or Chalets are located in a beach-garden next to the Cote d'Or (Anse Volbert) on Praslin. This small hotel has many reasons for our recommendation, not least its excellent location. The nearby beach offers excellent conditions for swimming all year-round, which isn't necessarily the case elsewhere on Praslin. At the same time, there is also a small beach village just a few minutes away which offers some small but equally excellent restaurants. The traditional Creole Art Café is especially good thanks to its stylish interior design.

However, that's not to say that you can't eat at the hotel. The food of the Cote d'Or Chalets is also excellent, with the landlady herself preparing fresh ingredients in a traditional Creole manner, including fresh rice, coconut, and curry, all of which can be served right on your private veranda. From here, guests can reach the beach via a small sand/grass path in just a few seconds.

The atmosphere of the small hotel is also very quaint. The landlady is extremely warm and welcoming without being intrusive, and she's always happy to answer questions about your stay on Praslin. There are a total of eleven rooms located in the bungalows, all of which are identically-sized and equipped, as well as four apartments in a different building. The rooms of the bungalows can be connected to each other on-demand, making it an ideal place for families too. Each unit offers a spacious en suite bathroom, a kingsize bed, an additional sofa bed (up to two extra people on-request), a large built-in wardrobe, an electronic safe, and a well-equipped kitchenette, great for self-caterers. Guests will also receive a starter pack consisting of tea, coffee, milk, water, sugar, butter, and eggs (self-caterers only!).
