Unforgettable Praslin!
The Seychelles had long been one of our dream destinations, and with just a simple click on the SeyVillas website, it was incredibly easy to make our wish come true and pack our bags! Never before had it been so quick and straightforward to arrange a wonderful holiday, escape the freezing cold, plunge into a wonderfully warm sea and find ourselves basking in the sunshine on gleaming beaches… blissfully deserted ones, too…

From the outset, the SeyVillas website proved reliable and efficient, reflecting the quality of the entire organisation, including the local team, who were always extremely helpful, professional, courteous and prompt.
Mahé
Our first stop was the island of Mahé, where we stayed for just a couple of days to recover from the flight. For our accommodation, we chose the Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay hotel, located directly on the famous Beau Vallon beach. It is very beautiful, but as it is also so well known, it was quite touristy and crowded, which meant it had lost much of its charm.
Praslin
The next island on our journey was Praslin, which proved to be the most moving for us… the atmosphere, its intrinsic beauty, the warmth of its ever-smiling people and the wonderful sense of well-being we experienced touched us deeply. We left our hearts there… and our minds, too!! It was the island that captivated us the most, and we absolutely loved staying in the Amitié area, close to Grand Anse bay. Here, we opted for an apartment at Ocean Jewels Resort, which we would particularly recommend both for its location directly on the beach and for the owner, Paul, and his entire staff, who were impeccably attentive and helpful.

With a hire car, we explored Praslin in all its beauty, captivated by its rich, lush vegetation. We stopped wherever took our fancy and, above all, lingered to relax on the most beautiful beaches… it is impossible not to adjust to Creole time in circumstances like these!!
Although there are quite a few tourists on the island, you will often find yourselves alone on these vast, gleaming coral-sand beaches, immersed in complete multi-sensory relaxation… where your only companions are the sound of the wind rustling through the Takamaka trees and the waves breaking on the shore. The beach that gave us this feeling more than any other, and the one we liked best, was undoubtedly Anse Lazio, located in the north-east of Praslin. It is truly enchanting, with its pure white sand and crystal-clear sea in shades ranging from blue to green, framed by the distinctive, majestic granite rocks that are the hallmark of Seychelles beaches.

Not to be missed on Praslin is a visit to the ‘Vallée de Mai’ nature reserve, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can admire many different varieties of palm tree and, above all, the famous endemic Coco de Mer. It is the symbol of Praslin, as it grows only here and on the nearby island of Curieuse. We recommend taking a guided tour to fully appreciate everything the reserve has to offer.

La Digue

So… hoping that we will return one day and discover a few more islands, we recommend setting off as soon as possible to immerse yourselves in wonderfully warm waters and enter an entirely new world… put your trust in SeyVillas, and arranging everything will be quick and incredibly easy!
