When Dreams Can Become Reality
It was the first time we had used an online travel agency, and from the outset we realised that we were dealing with reliable, knowledgeable and helpful people who were ready to answer any questions or concerns we had about the trip ahead. It was a long, tiring flight and certainly not a comfortable one unless you travel first class, with a stopover in Dubai. But we had taken all of that into account, and it was all for a very good reason, of course. We landed at Mahé Airport early in the morning and were immediately enveloped by the pleasantly warm summer weather that would stay with us throughout our trip.

Praslin
We had decided to visit 3 islands, or at least the most important ones: Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. We immediately went to find our representative from Creole Travel Services, the local organisation that would assist us with all our transfers and be our point of contact throughout this wonderful adventure. Our first stop was the island of Praslin, which we reached on a 15-minute domestic flight, although it is also possible to travel there by boat. The view from the plane was fantastic.
Still a little disorientated and tired after the long journey, we were driven to our guesthouse, Islander, on Anse Kerlan beach. As soon as we had settled in, we made a beeline for the beach. What we saw before us was beautiful, and we immediately forgot about the long journey.

Not a bad start! The island of Praslin is too large to explore on foot, but you can get around on local buses or by hiring a car through Seyvillas and collecting it from your guesthouse. Hiring a car was definitely the right choice, as it gave us much more freedom and independence. Thanks to the car, on our third day we reached Anse Lazio, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. With the weather on our side, we were able to enjoy a day we will never forget. The sea was calm and there was no wind at all. Anse Lazio truly is beautiful! White sand and an unbelievable colour of the sea. How lucky we were!

And as we were heading back at dusk, we were surprised by a sunset over the sea that will always remain in our hearts.

La Digue
The second stop on our trip was the island of La Digue, which we reached in the morning by speedboat after a crossing of just 20 minutes. We immediately realised how wild and unspoilt this island is. We encountered lush vegetation along the way to Villa Veuve, the guesthouse where we would be staying for 2 days. We had a small flat all to ourselves, with a kitchen, bedroom and large bathroom. It also had air conditioning and a fridge. Impeccably clean. Everything was perfect!
As La Digue is a small and manageable island, you can explore all of it on a hired bicycle, especially as this is the only means of transport available to tourists. And that is exactly what we did straight away. We hopped onto our bicycles and set off… Following the signs, we soon reached Anse source d’argent. We left our bicycles and, after a short walk, arrived at the beach. It is made up of sandy coves framed by enormous rocks, smoothed over time by the sea, which make it truly distinctive and unique in the world. What a sight! This is also the perfect place to enjoy delicious, freshly made tropical fruit smoothies.

We cycled back to our guesthouse and, after a lovely cool shower to soothe our sunburn, had dinner at Villa Veuve, which fortunately offers an excellent buffet restaurant service for an additional charge.
We devoted our second day to 3 beaches that particularly impressed us: Grand Anse, Petite Anse and Anse Cocos. They are 3 gems on the island of La Digue and are absolutely worth visiting. The 3 beaches are very close to one another, but you can only cycle to the first. The other 2 are reached via paths through the forest, each beginning at the preceding beach. To reach Anse Cocos from Petite Anse, you follow a route that requires a sense of adventure. The walk takes around 20 minutes and, in our opinion, is not particularly easy or well signposted. You will need a good pair of comfortable, closed shoes, and it is not suitable for anyone with a fear of reptiles, such as small lizards, or anyone who is claustrophobic. You really have to earn it, but your efforts are rewarded with a view so beautiful that words cannot do it justice.

Mahé

It was a wonderful trip that we were able to make thanks to SEYVILLAS, and one that will always remain in our hearts. Like other journeys, it allowed us to return to Italy feeling richer within. La Digue was the island that impressed us most, thanks to its people, its simple, uncomplicated way of life, its wild natural beauty and its wonderful beaches. What more can we say… the days flew by! Put your trust in SeyVillas; you are in safe hands. Thank you, Seychelles, and thank you, SEYVILLAS!
