A True Paradise
Hello everyone, our trip to the Seychelles was wonderful. These islands are truly unique: crystal-clear water, coral reefs, fish, palm trees and granite rocks... in short, a real paradise. We spent our week on La Digue, where we witnessed a beautiful wedding, and then we also visited Mahé. The whole trip was organised by SeyVillas, and we were extremely pleased with their service. It is definitely a trip we would love to do again.
La Digue
We flew from Rome to Mahé and then took 2 ferries to reach our first island, La Digue. It felt like being in another world. All the locals were smiling and travelled around by bicycle. In fact, there are no cars on the island, apart from a few taxis. We stayed at the Patatran, a lovely hotel with its own private beach. Our room had a truly beautiful ocean view.

The first beach where we relaxed was the hotel’s own beach, Anse Patates. The palm trees and crystal-clear water were absolutely wonderful. On the second day, we were joined by a couple of friends who were getting married the following day. We hired bicycles with them and explored the island. We stopped at Anse Severe, where we had a lovely fruit platter for lunch, followed by a long swim in the idyllic sea.

The wedding day was incredibly emotional. The bride and groom looked wonderful, and the beach they had chosen was the most beautiful in the Seychelles: Anse Source d'Argent. The ceremony felt like something from a film. It was the most beautiful wedding we had ever seen, and afterwards we all decided to stay and watch the sunset together.

Over the following days, we discovered Grand Anse, where swimming is prohibited because of the strong currents, but which is well worth visiting for its unique scenery, and Anse Banane, where the water gradually deepens, revealing every shade of blue.

Of course, we could not miss the chance to meet the tortoises. They are enormous and incredibly slow, but most importantly, they let you get close to them, so taking a selfie with them was very easy.

We also went inside the island’s church, where you can join in with local singing on Sundays. All in all, our week on La Digue was full of adventures and beautiful places to see. The island bade us farewell with a magnificent rainbow.

Mahé
Then our final day arrived, and we travelled to Mahé. The main island of the Seychelles was another wonderful discovery. We went to Fairyland Beach (Relax Beach), where we once again found an idyllic sea, with unique colours and vegetation. That evening, we celebrated our final night with a dinner organised by the owner of the villa where we were staying (Villa Kordia). We set the table in the garden with flowers and candles, and said goodbye to our beloved Seychelles.
