A Dream Comes True
I had been dreaming of flying to the Seychelles for 15 years. When a colleague told me about SeyVillas, I quickly managed to convince my boyfriend and, before we knew it, our three-week trip was booked. At last, we were off on our dream holiday.
Mahé
We flew from Berlin via Abu Dhabi to the Seychelles. When we landed on Mahé, we received a very warm welcome and were transferred straight to our first accommodation, Le Domaine de Bacova. It was clean and pleasantly furnished.
On our first day, we took the public bus to collect our hire car from the airport. This gave us the freedom to explore the entire island. After a short period of adjustment, driving on the left was no problem either. We always had our snorkelling gear with us. The best views over Victoria and the neighbouring Sainte Anne Marine National Park were from Trois Frere.

To explore the underwater world, we took an introductory scuba-diving course with Big Blue Divers in Beau Vallon. It was my first dive, and I absolutely loved it. We saw a sea turtle, eagle rays, a stonefish and many other colourful fish. Of course, we also visited Victoria and strolled through Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clarke Market to sample and buy tropical fruit.
La Digue
After the first week, we flew to Praslin and then took the ferry to La Digue. We stayed at Oceane Self Catering. We would highly recommend this accommodation. It was clean and lovingly furnished. The owners were friendly, attentive and extremely helpful.
We hired bicycles for our entire stay. This made it quick and easy to get from A to B. Sometimes we even spotted a giant tortoise by the roadside. Self-catering on La Digue was very easy. There were plenty of shops and takeaways.

On a full-day snorkelling excursion, we explored the underwater world off Grande Soeur, Coco Island and Félicité. We encountered several sea turtles there.

Cerf Island
We chose Cerf Island as our third island. We travelled by small water taxi from Eden Island to Cerf, where the accommodation owners were already waiting to give us a warm welcome at the jetty. We spent a week at Fairy Tern. The apartment was very spacious, clean and beautifully furnished. There was even a small welcome pack with eggs, butter, bread and water in the fridge.
To stock up for the next few days, however, we had to take the water taxi back to Eden Island, as that is where the nearest supermarket is. On Cerf Island, we went on a fishing trip with a local. We caught so many fish that we had enough to last us the entire week. The owners would open coconuts for us on request. Simply wonderful.
On Cerf, you can see conservationists working to restore the coral reefs. It is fascinating. This island was the perfect place for us to truly unwind and switch off.
