To celebrate a milestone birthday, we decided to revive the family holiday tradition and spontaneously booked a trip to the Seychelles through SeyVillas. It was my second trip to paradise and my parents’ first. As I had been so impressed with the service from SeyVillas, it was quickly clear that we wanted to book our trip with them again. As on the first occasion, everything was handled quickly and helpfully.
At the end of October, we flew to the Seychelles with Edelweiss Air. It was an overnight flight, and everything went smoothly. The flight times were changed again a few weeks before departure, but as they were still overnight flights, this was fine for us. SeyVillas adjusted all our connections independently and very quickly.
Praslin
Our first stop was Praslin. Travelling there by small plane was a unique experience, and we would definitely choose it over the ferry again. I already knew the Beach Villa Guesthouse from my first trip, so we received a warm welcome back from the owners. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well located. The food was excellent, especially the barbecue during our excursion to Curieuse, which was a real highlight. The owner, Martin, regularly organises excursions to Curieuse and accompanies guests around the island.
Beach Villas, La Digue
There was quite a lot of seagrass at Grand Anse during our stay, so we usually visited other beaches. Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette are, of course, absolutely idyllic and not to be missed. We would also recommend visiting one of the parks to see the Coco de Mer. I have been to both Fond Ferdinand and Vallée de Mai, and I think both are well worth seeing. This time, we chose the Vallée de Mai because you can also explore it independently.

La Digue
After 6 nights, we continued to La Digue, where we stayed at Fleur de Lys. We can wholeheartedly recommend the accommodation; for us, it was the loveliest place we stayed during the entire holiday. Breakfast was served on our private terrace and was very generous. Unfortunately, the guesthouse does not serve dinner, but there are plenty of restaurants and takeaways just a few minutes away by bicycle or on foot. We particularly enjoyed the food at Le Repaire and Mi Mums.
The sunsets on La Digue were truly unforgettable. Anse Source d'Argent and Anse Severe are particularly good places to watch them. The rock formations are breathtaking, for example at Anse Patates. At high tide, Anse Severe is also a fantastic place for snorkelling, with plenty of fish to see and, if you are lucky, even a sea turtle.

Mahé
We ended our holiday on Mahé, where we had chosen to stay at Chez Batista because of its beautiful beach. The setting is truly idyllic, and the beach is absolutely worth seeing. Unfortunately, the hotel was a little too secluded for our preferences, so next time we would book somewhere a little ‘more central’. However, with a hire car, it is easy to get around and explore the island. We particularly enjoyed the views from the old Mission Lodge Lookout and the Tea Factory, which should not be missed.

Mahé also has some wonderful, impressive beaches. Anse Intendance and Grand Anse are very expansive and offer the finest white sand. We also liked Anse Baleine, where you can enjoy something to eat at the beach restaurant. If you are exploring the south and enjoy ice cream, Kafe Kreol is also well worth a visit.
Anse Baleine
Our second holiday in the Seychelles was another complete success. We would book through SeyVillas again without hesitation, as it saves a considerable amount of time and research, and there is always someone available to help if you have any questions.
