Dream Beaches in the Seychelles for Our 30th Wedding Anniversary
Island hopping across four of the Seychelles’ most beautiful islands felt like four holidays in one. On the SeyVillas website, we put together our travel dates, the number and order of the islands, the length of stay and accommodation on each one, and also booked our flights and all transfers through SeyVillas. SeyVillas organised everything else, and all our tickets, flight documents with seat reservations and transfer details were sent to us by email. It was the best decision, as we did not have to worry about a thing. We were always welcomed by representatives from ‘Creole’, SeyVillas’ local partner in the Seychelles, and guided on to the next stage of our journey. We were collected and taken to the individual hotels or transfers, and there was always someone available to help us locally too.Mahé
When we arrived at the airport, our driver was already waiting to take us to our accommodation, Beau Bamboo, at Beau Vallon. It was a beautiful apartment with a huge balcony overlooking the sea. Angie gave us a very warm welcome, and we immediately booked an island tour for the following day with her husband, François. In perfect German, he explained and showed us everything the island had to offer. We saw various beaches, he showed us the island’s fruits and told us about them, and we visited a viewpoint and a waterfall. His wife Angie prepared breakfast for us on our terrace every morning, and they were both helpful and patient whenever we needed information or had questions, particularly at the beginning of our stay.
Praslin
After 5 nights, we continued to Praslin and the Beach Villa Guesthouse, right on the beach. The owner also speaks perfect German.

La Digue
Our third stop was the small Chez Marston hotel on La Digue. It is a small hotel with just 5 rooms, in a very central location near the harbour. The best way to reach the beaches is to hire a bicycle, the main means of transport on La Digue. We loved the famous Anse Source d'Argent, where we were able to watch a wedding, as well as Grand Anse and Petite Anse, which offer little shade but all the more beautiful waves. The colours really are just like those in calendar photographs. Simply a dream. On La Digue, we had booked a catamaran tour. It included two snorkelling stops at Cocos Island and Félicité, followed by a trip around the coast into the sunset. Absolutely magical.Cerf Island
We ended our dream holiday with another 3 nights at Villa de Cerf. It is right on the beach, with a snorkelling reef directly in front of the hotel. Cerf Island has only a few hotels, with no takeaways or supermarket. However, you can reach Mahé by boat in just 10 minutes. We decided to add dinner at the hotel for all 3 days. We went snorkelling several times each day and paddled around the island by kayak. We received a warm welcome at every accommodation and felt very comfortable throughout our stay. Every room had a small fridge and kettle. We had booked breakfast everywhere, knowing that breakfast in the Seychelles is not quite what we are used to. The main offerings are eggs prepared in every possible way, toast and fruit. On Mahé, Praslin and La Digue, our evening meals consisted almost entirely of all kinds of curries from the various takeaways. They were always freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. A portion costs approximately €5. Highly recommended. Each island has its own beauty, highlights and character, and we really cannot say which one is the most beautiful. They are very green, with a jungle-like landscape, and some areas are also quite mountainous. We can thoroughly recommend island hopping as a way to discover the different sides of the Seychelles. The local people we met on every island were always very friendly and helpful. After 3 weeks in another exotic world, it was sadly time to return home. Booking and organising our trip with SeyVillas worked perfectly. We can also highly recommend booking all transfers in advance, as it saves a great deal of time and searching around, and means you really do not have to worry about a thing.
