For us, it was our second time in the Seychelles. We had already visited the islands in 2023 and enjoyed it so much that we flew back again the following year. Our first holiday in the Seychelles had been almost perfect – this time, we wanted to top it all off by deciding to get married there.
As in 2023, we booked our flights, hotels and transfers through SeyVillas. We were also able to add the wedding to our trip very easily through SeyVillas. The organisation by SeyVillas worked perfectly for us: once we arrived, we did not have to worry about a thing and could simply enjoy ourselves.
As on our first trip to the Seychelles in 2023, one of our aims this time was to visit as many beaches as possible…
Praslin
On Praslin, our hotel (Berjaya Praslin Resort) was right on Anse Volbert (Cote d'Or). From there, we explored the island either by hire car or on boat trips.
We visited Anse Lazio, where our wedding took place right on the beach. Getting married in such a heavenly setting was a truly special experience. The photo shoot afterwards was more fun than I had expected, as I do not usually like being in front of the camera, and the photos turned out wonderfully too.
Wedding
We rounded off the evening at Petite Anse Lazio, where we had the beach entirely to ourselves at sunset.

The following days also had plenty in store for us: we explored Fond Ferdinand Park, where an exhausting hike is rewarded with a spectacular view. We relaxed on our favourite beach, Anse Georgette, watched sea turtles laying their eggs on Cousin and made friends with giant tortoises on Curieuse. To finish, we went snorkelling off St Pierre Island, where we spotted small sharks, rays and a sea turtle. Swimming with the sea turtle in particular was magical for us.

La Digue
On La Digue, you can truly immerse yourself in island life. Everything is small-scale, there are few cars, and everywhere can be reached by bicycle – a dream.
We went all the way around La Digue and visited every beach on the island. One of our highlights was the new Anse Caïman trail, which is a little more challenging but also great fun! From there, we continued to Anse Cocos: the natural pool there is one of our favourite places in the Seychelles.
Anse Caimann, La Digue
Some beaches on La Digue can only be reached on a guided hike, such as the Anse Marron Tour. The tour is really demanding, but you are rewarded with lots of deserted beaches. Each beach has its own special character.
Anse Marron, La Digue
We spent quieter days enjoying smoothies and cocktails at Anse Severe or Anse Patates. Of course, we also visited Anse Source d'Argent. It is a very beautiful beach, although also very touristy – we think other, less well-known beaches in the Seychelles are at least as beautiful, if not even more so.
Mahé
We spent the final third of our trip on Mahé. In 2023, we had stayed in the area around Beau Vallon, which we found too touristy, so this year we opted for the south of Mahé.
There, we had long stretches of Anse Forbans almost entirely to ourselves, as well as other dream beaches such as Anse Marie-Louise and Anse Petite Marie Louise. We were also able to watch sea turtles laying their eggs there.
Sea turtle
We spent a relaxing day on Thérèse Island, swam at Petite Anse and enjoyed the sunset at Anse Soleil.
Therese Island
While snorkelling in Sainte Anne Marine National Park, we also saw sea turtles and countless other wonderfully colourful fish.
We spent our final day relaxing at Baie Lazare.
Conclusion
We have been to the Seychelles twice and will definitely return!
The water really is as clear and turquoise as it looks in the photos. The sand feels almost impossibly soft because it is so fine. For once, the adverts are not exaggerating: the Seychelles really are that beautiful!
