Our honeymoon took us to the breathtaking Seychelles, a paradise in the Indian Ocean. We booked the entire trip through SeyVillas, which turned out to be the perfect
decision. The organisation of our flights, inter-island transfers and onward transport to the hotels was seamless, allowing us to focus entirely on enjoying our time together.
First stop: Praslin – dream beaches and tortoises
After arriving on Mahé, we took the ferry to Praslin. There, we checked into our first accommodation, the Beach Villa Guesthouse on Grand Anse, where we stayed for four nights. The accommodation offered breathtaking views of the turquoise sea and a beautiful beach right on the doorstep.

During our stay, we explored some of the island’s most beautiful beaches, including the world-famous Anse Lazio. With its powdery white sand and impressive granite rocks, this beach offered perfect conditions for relaxing hours in paradise.

A particular highlight was our boat trip to Curieuse Island, which is known for its population of more than 350 giant tortoises. It was an unforgettable experience to get so close to these majestic animals. While snorkelling, we even spotted sea turtles gliding gracefully through the crystal-clear water. The boat trip also gave us the chance to see wild dolphins – a magical moment!

We had another adventure while travelling on Praslin’s public buses. This simple yet exciting way of getting around took us right across the island and gave us a first-hand glimpse into everyday local life.

Second stop: La Digue – island idyll on two wheels
After four days on Praslin, we took the ferry to La Digue, where we spent another four nights at the charming Pension Hibiscus
. La Digue is known for its relaxed atmosphere and lack of cars – instead, the island is explored by bicycle, which we did with great enthusiasm.
We visited some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, including the legendary Anse Source d'Argent with its spectacular granite formations and the secluded Anse Cocos
, which we reached after a short hike. Both beaches enchanted us with their crystal-clear water and idyllic surroundings.

Another highlight on La Digue was our visit to L'Union Estate
, a historic estate with vanilla plantations, an old coconut mill and giant tortoises. Here, we gained an insight into traditional Seychellois agriculture and enjoyed the beauty of the natural surroundings.

Third stop: Mahé – culture, cuisine and natural wonders
Our final stop took us back to Mahé, where we spent three nights at the cosy Blue Lagoon. It is the largest island in the Seychelles and is home to Victoria, the world’s smallest capital. Here, we explored the lively market, visited the impressive Hindu temple and saw the famous Little Ben, a miniature version of London’s Big Ben.

A particularly memorable experience was our visit to the Takamaka Rum Distillery , where we took part in a rum tasting and learnt more about how the famous Seychellois
rum is produced. Of course, we could not leave without one final visit to the beach. We chose the breathtaking Anse Soleil, where we went snorkelling once more and explored the colourful underwater world.

Our verdict: Paradise on Earth
Throughout our trip, we found the local people to be incredibly warm, considerate and friendly. Their hospitality made
our stay even more unforgettable. Thanks to the excellent organisation by SeyVillas, every transfer went smoothly, and we were able to enjoy our honeymoon to the
full. We would book through SeyVillas again without hesitation and can recommend this wonderful trip to anyone looking for an unforgettable island adventure!
