Journey and arrival:
At the start of the Easter holidays, our Seychelles adventure finally began. We were very excited, especially as this was our first long-haul trip. We took the direct flight from Frankfurt to Mahé and arrived in the early hours of the morning. We then continued to Praslin on the Cat Cocos ferry. Creole was already waiting for us there and took us to our first accommodation, Castello Beach. We were welcomed at the hotel with a refreshingly cool iced tea and were able to settle straight into our junior suite, which was decorated with beautiful hibiscus flowers. We also caught our first glimpse of picturesque Anse Kerlan, as Castello Beach is located right on the beach.
Praslin:
The next day on Praslin, we took a trip to Anse Georgette. As the beach was not far from our accommodation, it was very easy to reach, and guests of the Castello Beach Hotel can access it without a reservation. We thought that was fantastic. Anse Georgette is simply a picture-perfect beach and, although it was the first beach we visited, it remains our absolute favourite.
The following day, we went on the full-day excursion to Vallée de Mai and Anse Lazio, which we had booked through SeyVillas before leaving Germany, and we would thoroughly recommend it. You get to admire the coco de mer palm and learn a great deal about it, followed by a buffet lunch, with gluten-free options available, and then some time to relax at Anse Lazio. The next day, we continued to Curieuse Island, where all the tortoises roam freely. It was wonderful to see the tortoises so close up, and the excursion also included a walk through the mangrove forest. On our final day, we enjoyed a glorious day at Petite Anse Kerlan.

Petite Anse KerlanLa Digue:
After a punctual ferry crossing to La Digue, we arrived at Mazu. The beautiful, colourful and well-maintained garden and the shared pool were particular highlights. Every morning before breakfast, I swam a few lengths there.
On La Digue, we visited Anse Source d'Argent, hiked to Anse Cocos and cycled around the northern tip as far as the end of the road. The hike to Anse Cocos was my favourite, as the natural rock pool at Anse Cocos was wonderfully refreshing, and I even had it almost entirely to myself. On our final evening, the driver from Belle Vue collected us for a Creole evening buffet, where we enjoyed a magnificent sunset. Afterwards, we were driven safely back to our accommodation.

Once again, the crossing to Mahé went smoothly, and Creole took us safely to our accommodation at Savoy Resort & Spa on Beau Vallon. The following day, we took the bus to Victoria, explored the city independently and also visited the Botanical Gardens. Travelling by bus is very inexpensive, and we can recommend it without reservation. Surprisingly, the buses also departed on time and always got us to our destination quickly. This was followed by a hike along the Anse Major Trail and an island tour with a very friendly driver named Emily. Please note that a small fee is charged for the hiking trails and can only be paid by credit card. At Beau Vallon Beach, which can be accessed directly from the Savoy, we enjoyed beautiful sunsets, while in the mornings it was usually still deserted.
At Beau Vallon
The trip was very well organised by SeyVillas, and everything ran smoothly. We returned home with wonderful memories in our hearts and some stunning photographs.
