Description:
The Castello Beach Hotel is made up of 26 different suites in two-storey buildings. All of the suites are large, offering over 40m² to their guests. The hotel is located on the fine, sandy beach of Anse Kerlan, so it's great for a holiday spent swimming and sunbathing. The style of the German-run hotel has been considered right down to the smallest detail, and reflects a typical Seychelles island-style. The front is coloured in earthy pastel shades, and displays several round arches, balconies, verandas, and pointed rooftops. The interior is minimalistic yet luxurious, and the hotel's 4-star rating compares well with international standards (not a sure-thing for all Seychelles accommodations).
The hotel is located in the north-west of Praslin, and island which offers numerous attractions, such as the Vallée de Mai nature reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that offers a variety of flora and fauna unique to the region. On top of this, Praslin offers scuba diving, hiking paths, and many spectacular beaches, including Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette, two of the whitest, most perfect beaches anywhere in the world. You can walk to Anse Georgette right from the hotel, and this beautiful powdery beach is often deserted, even during the high season.
The suites of the hotel are equipped with their own seating area, fan, air-conditioning, spacious bathroom with shower and washbasin, and private veranda or balcony. We recommend the Castello Beach hotel to anyone looking for a high-class, affordable hotel with a beach-front location. The hotel also offers a pool, should you prefer that to the open ocean, as well as a tropical garden and an excellent restaurant, all of which round out the package nicely.

We could hardly believe our luck when we were greeted by the hotel manager on arrival and given a free upgrade to the 450m2 pool villa. It was a fantastic 5 days in a great hotel with delicious food, super friendly staff and a fascinating location right by the sea. The accommodation was clean. The hotel was in a quiet location, a little away from the main road. Only the noise from the planes from the nearby airport was a bit annoying. The service was very courteous. The staff was very friendly. We had booked half board. The breakfast buffet was OK. The evening meal was very good. You could always choose between different dishes. The rooms need to be renovated. Lots of minor defects in the rooms. Unfortunately, the condition of the rooms prevents us from giving it a better rating.
