To the Seychelles and Back – Pure Bacardi Feeling
My trip to the Seychelles began on La Digue, at Etoile Labrine After just a few hours, I knew that this island was something truly special. Time seems to pass more slowly here. There are hardly any cars, so instead I explored the island by bicycle, passing palm trees, small houses and idyllic coves. The famous Anse Source d'Argent beach enchanted me immediately and was only a few hundred metres from my accommodation. The extraordinary granite rocks, powder-white sand and turquoise water looked as though they had come straight from a picture book. 100% Bacardi feeling.
While exploring the island, I came across a huge Aldabra giant tortoise at a beach bar.

I then continued to Praslin, where I stayed at the Beach Villa Guesthouse. I was particularly impressed by the lush natural surroundings and beautiful beaches. An absolute highlight was visiting Curieuse Island. I had booked the boat trip directly through my accommodation, and it turned out to be a real stroke of luck, as there were only three of us on the boat – a touch of VIP treatment. We stopped several times to snorkel, were given plenty of fascinating information about the islands, had the chance to feed the giant tortoises and finished with a wonderful barbecue right on the beach.

To round off my trip, I arrived on Mahé, where I deliberately treated myself to a little luxury. After the quieter islands, Mahé felt livelier, yet was still beautiful. I stayed in a comfortable villa with a private saltwater pool and ocean views,
where I began each day with breakfast overlooking the sea and ended it watching the sunset from the terrace. On the day of my departure, I booked a day spa pass at the nearby Kempinski Resort. I particularly liked the beach there – long, sandy and ideal for swimming. It combined relaxation with a touch of exclusivity.

The Seychelles deeply moved me with their paradisiacal beaches, impressive natural scenery, colourful snorkelling experiences and the warmth of the people. Above all, the combination of the unspoilt charm of La Digue and Praslin with a luxurious finale on Mahé made this an unforgettable trip for me.
In terms of practical arrangements, I would offer the following tips:
- Book the ferries in advance wherever possible, as they can sometimes be very crowded.
- Taxis are not exactly cheap, but they can sometimes be less stressful. I hired a car on Praslin. Driving on the left does not bother me, but the roads are very narrow and sometimes steep and winding. However, they are manageable if you take your time.
- You can pay by card almost everywhere. Otherwise, euros are widely accepted, except for the accommodation tax, which must be paid in the local currency.
Finally, I would like to add that my trip would certainly not have been quite so perfect without SeyVillas. All the staff are incredibly helpful, and the information provided here is so comprehensive that I felt perfectly prepared. A heartfelt thank you!
