Very nice hostess, breakfast was very good with a great selection of fruit. However, the only choices were eggs or pancakes. Juice, fruit, toast with butter and jam were also included. We found the pillows too firm and the mattress perhaps a bit old. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the balcony offered a lovely view of the surrounding greenery. There's a small supermarket nearby and a very good little takeaway restaurant directly opposite the Hilton. We ate dinner there and bought samosas for our trip. We traveled by bus, which proved to be quite inconvenient as the buses run very infrequently. Nevertheless, we highly recommend the excursion to Police Bay and Anse Intendance.

The Captain's Villa, shimmering like the sun, sits amidst an evergreen, exotic garden. The imposing villa is a picture of clear lines and elegance from the outside. A plus for families is the proximity to the stunning beach of Anse Forbans, which lies only 40 metres away, with just a road separating the two. The beach itself offers excellent swimming conditions and shallow water for the youngest members of your family. Here, you can go snorkelling and swimming to your heart's content.

The clear style of the imposing villa is also present inside. White and pastel tones dominate the bedrooms, while the large windows let lots of sunlight at all times of day. The curtains with their floral patterns ensure comfortable darkness and coolness at night. Dark, natural wooden furniture lend the bright rooms a comfortable warmth. The grey tones of the bathroom are complemented by shimmering taps, while the spacious shower with its glass separator makes the naturally-lit bathroom a veritable wellness oasis that is guaranteed to make you feel comfortable. Who would have thought? You can also lie in the sunshine and cool off in the water of the turquoise ocean. And, if you get tired from that, why not relax on your terrace or balcony? Soft cushions on the sun loungers and the view on the surrounding greenery will be the perfect end to every day of your trip.

The Captain's Villa is located 11 km from the airport, so you can go from landing to your accommodation in no time at all. There are also numerous other spots on Mahé that you can get to easily from this location. Anse Baleine is just 15 minutes' walk away. The small, mostly deserted beach to the north of your accommodation will win you over thanks to its shallow water and peaceful location, which is also frequented by locals at the weekend, who come here for picnics. However, during the week, you may have the beach all to yourself, giving you that desert island feeling! Anse Marie Louise is close to the property, while the famous Anse Intendance is just 7 minutes' drive away. Finally, the Morne Seychellois National Park, complete with its mangrove forests, jungle, and tortoises, is just 40 minutes' drive away.
