- L'Hirondelle apartments are located next to one of the best beaches in the entire Seychelles archipelago, and are therefore the ideal starting point for a seaside holiday.
- People who like snorkelling will be extremely happy in this location, as there are several small boats which depart to explore the area around St. Pierre, which is the best place to snorkel in the whole archipelago.
- Shops, restaurants, and supermarkets can all be found in the immediate surroundings of the apartments, so self-catering is far from a problem.
- L'Hirondelle also offers an excellent continental breakfast service.
Description:
Precy and Emilia have been running L'Hirondelle for well over a decade, so their guesthouse is one of the more-established on Praslin. This well-maintained, spotless estate is located next to Anse Volbert, which is an incredible sandy beach which slopes gently into the water. Just offshore from the beach here is the beautiful island of St. Pierre, which is surrounded by one of the most incredible snorkelling reefs in the Seychelles. A number of other smaller islands add to the tropical paradise scenery. You can see all of this from L'Hirondelle, making this one of the most beautiful views you can have anywhere on Praslin.
A further advantage of the accommodation is the short walking distance to the small town of the Cote d'Or, which offers a number of shops, restaurants, and cocktail bars. This small town is located right next to the beach, and the extremely lively centre here contrasts the rest of the island of Praslin. This excellent location, combined with the apartments' excellent fittings, means self-catering here is a breeze.
Besides the kitchen, each of the 10 apartments offers a small lounge, a huge ocean-view veranda, and a double bedroom with en suite bathroom. Thanks to the hotel's daily maid service, the rooms are always spotless, a real plus point for the accommodation. This fact, plus the excellent care that the owners take of the apartments, means that there is much to recommend about L'Hirondelle.
The "Ocean View Loft Apartment" extends over the entire roof, it has 2 bedrooms and could therefore be rented by a group consisting of more than 2-3 people. Alternatively, a larger group could rent out two of the regular apartments. Please note, however, that the apartments cannot be inter-connected; each apartment is fully-independent and private. However, the verandas of two of the sea-view apartments or two of the garden-view apartments can be joined up on request, creating a larger veranda, ideal for groups or families. This way, each family can have their own private apartment, but share the large outdoor space.

We had a great time in this hotel, just a stone's throw from the small center of Beau Vallon, with restaurants, supermarkets and shops. Perfect location to tour the whole island. Very helpful reception, clean room and the choice of breakfast service directly in the room made by the staff was a pleasant surprise. Hotel facing the sea, with a beautiful well-kept garden, just cross the road and you are on one of the largest beaches of Praslin. Very kind owners.
