17 Wonderful Days in the Seychelles
La Digue
After our pleasant direct flight from Düsseldorf, our journey first took us to La Digue. The local transfers and service provided by Creole were flawless. At every stage of the journey, we were met straight away and given all the information we needed. Even the drivers showed us the way to reception and where to find the staff if no one was at the desk. We were very pleased to have booked this service through SeyVillas.
We spent our week on La Digue at Pension Michel, which completely exceeded our expectations. Everything is so cosy and lovingly decorated, with fresh flowers placed throughout the room every day. In the morning, there is a beautifully presented breakfast prepared with great care, followed in the evening by an incredibly delicious Creole dinner. We can recommend the half-board option here 200%.
For a fee, the guesthouse provided us with bicycles for our stay, so on our first day we began by exploring the north of the island and immediately came across our first tortoise, which was a wonderful experience. There was hardly anyone around in the north, and we had the beaches almost entirely to ourselves.

Next time, we would definitely book a tour with Robert Agnes. His Sunset Barbecue Dinner is also highly recommended. Everything is kept very simple, but the food is incredibly good and he is an excellent entertainer too.

Praslin
We stayed here for 11 days in an apartment at Cote D'Or Chalets. When we arrived, the ladies seemed slightly surprised and apparently had not been expecting us. Nevertheless, we were quickly given the apartment we had booked and received a very friendly introduction. The location is excellent: the beach (Anse Volbert (Cote d'Or)) is just a minute away, and supermarkets and other amenities are also close by.

We had not hired a car in advance, as we had heard that travelling by bus was inexpensive. Our first bus journey took us to Anse Lazio. From the bus stop, there is still a lovely walk to the beach, although we have to say that it is quite a challenge! You have to climb two VERY steep hills before reaching the beach, but it is worth it! We could hear the waves crashing several metres before we arrived, and the beach truly is beautiful. As I do not go into the water when the waves are high, we walked right to the far end of the beach. There is a small, beautiful section by the Honesty Bar where the waves reach the shore with a little less force. It is also a great place for snorkelling. We liked the beach so much that we returned several times by bus.
And because we enjoyed travelling by bus so much, we decided not to hire a car. It was lovely to mix with the locals, as well as to meet and chat with many Germans and other tourists. It really was a wonderful experience. Next time, we would once again manage without a car.
We continued exploring by bus, with Fond Ferdinand as our destination. For around €8, you can join a small-group guided tour. It is best to arrive at around 09:00. It was extremely interesting and, for us, a good alternative to Vallée de Mai.

Those were the absolute highlights of our holiday. We can recommend SeyVillas, Creole and Pension Michel 200%, and we are already doing so ;) A huge thank you to Ms Flaming for her excellent advice and for making everything so smooth and relaxing! We are already looking forward to our next visit!
