An experience to enjoy...at least once in a lifetime!
We set off with the highest expectations for this long-awaited trip.
And I have to say, they were not disappointed. In fact, reality surpassed our dreams! The Seychelles proved to be an almost unspoilt paradise, where nature still reigns supreme… Everything blends harmoniously into the surroundings: the hotels, houses and businesses... at least on the smaller islands such as Praslin, La Digue and Cerf Island, which were the destinations on our trip.
Praslin
Our first stop was Praslin, where we stayed at the Sea View Lodge in Anse Possession. One of our first experiences on Praslin was a visit to Curieuse Island, known for its giant tortoises. What can I say... they look like miniature dinosaurs. It was fun feeding them and watching them in their natural habitat.

We then walked for 40 minutes through the forest to reach Anse St. José, one of the Seychelles’ picture-postcard beaches. We also enjoyed an excellent barbecue lunch there, with fish and chicken prepared by local people.

In the afternoon, we stopped to snorkel at St. Pierre, a tiny islet teeming with marine life. It is a lovely spot for snorkelling enthusiasts.
On Praslin, we also visited Anse Georgette, passing through the Constance Lemuria Resort. Anse Georgette is one of the most famous beaches in the Seychelles, and rightly so, but the currents here are very strong and create a powerful undertow, so swimming is not recommended. In any case, I think it is worth visiting for its picture-postcard scenery.

Our best experience on Praslin was undoubtedly our first dive after completing our PADI course, at a spot called ‘Coral Garden’. The variety of colours and marine life was indescribable..... Although coral bleaching has also affected the Seychelles, reducing the range of colours on display, this experience left its mark... an unforgettable memory. The sunset at Anse Lazio is also not to be missed... just look at the photo…

La Digue
From Praslin, we then travelled to La Digue, the island where bicycles are the main means of transport.

My fondest memory of La Digue is undoubtedly our catamaran trip to Grande Soeur, Coco and Felicité. We made three snorkelling stops, among the best of our trip: sea turtles, squid, pufferfish and more.... And then there were the colours of the sea, that emerald blue you could gaze at forever… Not to mention the excellent barbecue we enjoyed on board!

On La Digue, we also hiked from Grand Anse to Anse Source d'Argent, and I have to say, it made us feel a bit like Indiana Jones... surrounded by rocks, forests and sea.... But Anse Marron and all the other beaches you encounter along the way make the effort worthwhile!

Cerf Island
When we arrived on Cerf Island, the final stop on our trip, we decided to go diving again on Mahé. So, one day, we took the ferry, hired a car (driving a right-hand-drive car was also a completely new experience!) and made our way to Beau Vallon.

We spent a wonderful morning on the beach there... it is enormous and perfect for very long walks. In the afternoon, we went on two dives in the beautiful Cap Ternay Marine Park. It is a unique experience, even if you are only snorkelling.
On Cerf, we found pure relaxation: a tiny island far from everything, surrounded by nature and encircled by a coral reef... a dream for us as snorkelling enthusiasts. So, what can I say... what I will remember most about the Seychelles is the sea and its inhabitants, as well as the sunsets and long walks along the beach... Perhaps one day I will return to experience these emotions again... and if I do, it will certainly be with SeyVillas!
