DREAM SEYCHELLES
Praslin
Our fabulous journey in the Seychelles began with exploring the island of Praslin... A unique island with fantastic colours, from the turquoise sea to the lush green of its natural surroundings. From the harbour, we could already glimpse our "Chalet Cote Mer" on the hillside directly opposite the boat jetty: a beautiful property perched above the ocean, offering breathtaking views that we will remember for a long time... A little gem at very reasonable prices to suit everyone, where, among other things, we also enjoyed special, refined cuisine... We highly recommend this property!

It was wonderful to see island life, from its fantastic beaches and almost unspoilt natural surroundings to the comings and goings of local people absorbed in their daily lives and work... We hired a car so that we could explore the whole island, one of the largest in the Seychelles after Mahé. Remember that you drive on the left, so you will need to take a little extra care, especially at first!
We recommend visiting the ‘Vallée de Mai’ nature reserve, which is home to endemic animal species – in other words, species found nowhere else – as well as the distinctive ‘coco de mer’ and primeval vegetation that grows lush and undisturbed under the protection of this UNESCO-listed reserve.

Among the fantastic, picture-postcard beaches, the main ones that stand out in our memories are Anse Volbert (Cote d'or), Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette... Truly unique slices of paradise, with fantastic colours and a wonderfully distinctive contrast between the sea and the vegetation.

La Digue
We spent our second week on the small island of La Digue, which is tiny compared with Praslin. Here, hiring a bicycle is all you need to explore the island, especially as you will not find any cars apart from taxis... It is certainly a more intimate and untamed island than Praslin, where nature reigns supreme and where, in a sense, you can immerse yourselves in an unusual atmosphere that feels primeval, unspoilt and wild.
Exploring the island and its wonderful beaches was truly special. We cycled along little roads through the forests, accompanied only by nature and other visitors, who all seemed to become children again as they cheerfully pedalled from one side of the island to the other in search of a beach or a hidden corner of paradise. You can enjoy some of the most evocative landscapes and natural scenery we have ever seen, surrounded by the tranquillity of the beaches at Anse La Reunion, Anse Severe and Anse Coco. One of the most striking of all is undoubtedly Anse Source d'Argent, set within the nature park of the same name. You can pay to enter the park, where you can visit local vanilla plantations, discover numerous spices and marvel at the tortoise sanctuary... Remember that the admission fee applies only to entry to the nature park, as all beaches in the Seychelles are completely free to access. If you wish, you can therefore reach any beach by sea or along trails through the vegetation without paying anything. For this kind of experience, we recommend wearing trainers and bringing plenty of determination, as some of the trails are quite demanding.

You certainly will not be disappointed by what the island has to offer... A special mention must go to the astonishing granite rocks that are so characteristic of the Seychelles... The colours of the sea, erosion and the elements give these rocks truly unique shapes and colours, creating the perfect backdrop for your most memorable photographs.
What more can we say... An unforgettable experience, with magnificent, dreamlike scenery, all at prices that are genuinely within everyone’s reach, thanks to SeyVillas!
