Welcome to Paradise
Another dream come true! On the evening of 19 June, we set off from Milan Malpensa, arriving in Mahé on 20 June.
At the airport, we were immediately welcomed by the staff of Creole Travel Services, the local agency that works with SeyVillas. They gave us documents with our transfer times and a helpful map of the three largest islands: Mahé, Praslin and La Digue. Our first destination was Praslin, where we spent three nights at the Sea View Lodge guest house, a beautiful place surrounded by nature with wonderful views over Anse Possession.

Praslin
Each of the island’s beaches is more beautiful than the last… Anse Lazio, Anse Volbert (Cote d'Or) and Anse Gouvernement, which has stayed in our hearts… in the morning, at low tide, you can walk to a rock about 200 m from the shore, with rays swimming in the water and an atmosphere of absolute peace.

On Praslin, we also visited the Vallée de Mai, a tropical forest. It is not to be missed, thanks to the unique character and charm of the place. We chose guest houses so that we would not be tied to set times… we shopped at the mini-markets, spent the whole day out and returned in the evening to have dinner.
La Digue
On the fourth day, once again accompanied by the Creole Travel Services team, we boarded the boat to La Digue and arrived after a 15-minute crossing. Here, we made our way to Casa de Leela, a guest house surrounded by beautiful, lush nature. Colourful flowers, birds singing and the scent of frangipani… wonderful! Over the following days, we explored Anse Source d'Argent, Anse Severe, Grand Anse, Petite Anse and, finally, the magnificent Anse Cocos on ‘our’ bicycles… it is not the easiest place to reach, but the view made every bit of effort worthwhile.

La Digue is stunning. It is the smallest island, and you can explore the whole of it by bicycle. There are takeaways along the road where you can stop for inexpensive local food. On our final evening, we had dinner at Snack Bellevue. We booked through a member of staff at the guest house, and they collected us at 17.30 to take us to the restaurant. We enjoyed drinks before dinner, followed by a meal on the terrace as the sun set. What a breathtaking view! The dinner was traditional Creole cuisine… and very good!
Mahé
After four days, we set off again, still assisted by the Creole Travel Services team, for the final island on our itinerary… Mahé. It is larger and livelier than the other islands, but no less beautiful. We spent our final three nights at the Bord Mer Villa guest house, overlooking Beau Vallon beach. On Mahé, we visited Anse Intendance, Anse Soleil and the beautiful Petite Anse, which, for us, was perhaps the loveliest beach we saw among all this beauty.

Every Wednesday, there is a market on Beau Vallon beach where you can sample Creole cuisine, including delicious homemade dishes, and buy spices, handicrafts and clothing, all accompanied by musicians playing traditional music. Thanks to SeyVillas, everything was organised perfectly. We had a wonderful stay at every guest house, and the Creole Travel Services team was always attentive and available. The weather was lovely throughout, with sunshine and a refreshing breeze.
Enchanted by these islands, we set off for home… sadly, all good things must come to an end. The Seychelles are a little corner of paradise and a destination everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime. See you again soon, Seychelles!
