Light and comfortable clothing: shorts, t-shirts, tank-tops, summer clothes etc.
Hat or something else to cover your head
At least one smart piece of clothing for evening meals in a luxury hotel or resort
Flip-flops and/or sandals
Sports shoes (for hiking and the flight)
Sports clothes, if you plan on going hiking
UV bathing shirt (or another t-shirt to wear in the ocean)
Backpack or beach bag
Comfortable and warm clothes for the flight
Umbrella or rain jacket/poncho
Do I need warm clothes in the Seychelles?
No, the climate in the Seychelles is not suited to long-sleeved shirts or long trousers, even in the evenings. However, in air-conditioned rooms (e.g. the airport/airplane), it can be colder.
Do I need smart clothes in the Seychelles?
Yes, if you are eating at a luxury hotel or resort in the evenings. Normal restaurants do not have a dress code, so you can wear what you want to.
Why should I bring a UV bathing shirt?
With a shirt that has UV protection (or even a normal t-shirt), you can protect yourself from the sun even without sunscreen. This is particularly useful for snorkelling or on a boat trip.
Tip: We recommend packing a summery outfit in your hand luggage, especially if you are travelling in winter. Therefore, you can get changed on the plane before you land in the Seychelles, without having to wear your winter clothes in the humid head of the Seychelles.
Power adaptor (British 3-pin system)
Torch or headlight for bike riding on La Digue
Reusable water bottle
Charger cables for your phone and camera
Health and Beauty
Sunscreen (high factor - we recommend factor 50)
Cream against bug bites
Shampoo and shower gel
Small hair dryer (check if your accommodation has one)
